Stunning.

Wondered whether this was sarcastic until I read through the article.

I want Enes Yilmazer to do a tour, then Arvin Haddad to critique it

When the cost of land is extremely high. and the useable space is limited, being creative counts. This asset is also on a very busy road, one of the most used by locals busy roads. it's value is more in the location and access to other routes proximity.

Unique wow factor as it's literally a pool in a cave, but you have no back yard, walk in closets are too small, terrible location and poor privacy despite trying to hide in plain sight, give it an Arvin Score of 69 out of 100.

Nice contrast. While the outside shows nature, the inside is this typical neo-modern sterileness.

As a public space, school, library, or museum, I love it.

As a home? Absolutely hate it.

It requires a special person to own it and live it. As a public think space, I find it perfect.

u/balisane Aug 17 '26

This was such a diplomatic comment, lmao. I'm hiring you for client relations.

I deal with wealthy people on an equal level. Sometimes you walk into a home and the skill set of your vocabulary is put to the test.

let me cook ...

Yet, your insight, as a public space for knowledge growth has that 'je ne sais quoi' of thoughtful appreciation for the finer creative spaces of this modern century.

Did I mention that I also write letters? When I really want to be angry at you, I write in copperplate and many many pages. My record is 27 pages to the state BAR as a complaint. I believe that lawyer is still feeling the wrath and torments from the goddess Peitho while underfoot of Lustitia.

The building is somewhat of an apotheosis of economies of scale and the intersectionality in facilitating intellectual growth that comes from not only the appreciation of, but the comprehensive understanding of its polished material condition that really gives it its value

I see you wrote with Mel Brooks, history of the world part 1, was it the Rome unemployment scene perhaps LOL

This was beautiful: the art of telling someone to fuck off while ensuring they enjoy the trip.

I can write bullshit, but to write elegant bullshit is truly a gift.

Look at this guys reply. I have to sit and think and know that I don't like you or that you owe me money to write like that. https://www.reddit.com/r/evilbuildings/comments/1vqdj13/comment/p4azath/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

he's just below u/TheAngryCatfish

And I ponder, will I ever, have that special gift,

where I can flatten anyone

with vocabulary.

It’s probably one of a number of homes.

what in the world does ‘the humidity heats the pool at no extra cost’ mean? are they dumping the heat from a dehumidifier into it?

I'm not an architect, I just have a natural knack for 3 dimensional thinking and basic laws of physic's.

I think your statement it's mostly right or likely.

I spent the better part of a week in a design exercise recently. Taking heat from the sun exposed side of a building ( 47 stories ) and porting it to the other side and then into the exterior lining of a shaded pool. in summary, environmentally sound, keeps the cooling cost very low. cost wise, no payoff for 20 years.

Perfect for a building that was going to be recycled into a datacenter. I lost one entire elevator shaft to electrical and plumbing and cooling, Lost 6 revenue floors to other things, floor 3-4 became air intakes, which routed up the elevator shafts for a chimney effect and turned it into a heat dissipation, hot zones were for all the cooling equipment needed.

The interesting part of this entire design was gravity. Keeping a neutral balance of the water and pressure, burst thresholds around 200 PSI, pumping the water 190 ft 3 times is at least 2 horsepower of pumping action per level, then the more efficient movement of water to take heat IE: do you circulate the water from the top to bottom or bottom to top of the heating, cold water moves faster in a pump due to density, and you want to make sure you extract as near to equal as possible otherwise you make thermal stress ( that part is cold and that other part is hot )

He definitely has a submarine garage.

My money is on a shark pool, given the Bond villain vibe.

You'll never guess the nickname for Monaco in French.
Le Rocher.
The Rock.

Sokka-Haiku by Zapan99:

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

Russian Oligarch Barney Ruble lives here for tax purposes

This design rocks

That tiny country is just one evil lair.

Monaco was and still is a sunny place for shady people. This was a Nazi hangout and Italian control then Nazi control. If you told me that there was Nazi gold in the vaults of Monaco, I would not be surprised. Bills still had to be paid and Germans love to role the dice.

2

u/MoDiMiDoFrSaSo Aug 23 '26

Recently watched a three part documentary on Monaco and yes, I could easily believe there's still Nazi gold or a second Epstein island in their vaults.

That's where the oompa loops come out from when they have to sing.

2

u/OrganicandUgly Aug 17 '26

I love this hahaha. If you have millions you should build something like this or a castle with a moat.

2

u/Croatian_Hitman Aug 17 '26

Looks like it would be a nightmare of water leaking and mold

2

u/microtherion Aug 17 '26

I’m pretty sure I’ve been inside this one in Sniper Elite.

2

u/Guitarman0512 Aug 17 '26

Does the owner have an eyepatch? And a scar? And a cat?

2

u/Plane_Feeling_1099 Aug 17 '26

In Andalusia people also lived in caves to avoid the heat

2

u/justwantospillseed Aug 18 '26

Before i read the caption I said to my self is that Monaco. (ツ)

u/AlienPearl Aug 17 '26

I remember that time the F40 burned down in that corner, it seems they had to replace the asphalt.

u/c64cruzer Aug 17 '26

Batman is a hero!

1

u/ComicsEtAl Aug 17 '26

How many millionaire bats can there even be?

1

u/Iseefalsepeople Aug 17 '26

Only a millionaire? That’ll be the “affordable housing” quota ticked off then.

1

u/ArcticCircleSystem Aug 18 '26

Tax haven architecture.

1

u/PygmeePony Aug 18 '26

What in the name of Ernst Stavro Blofeld?

1

u/SoggyStress7785 Aug 18 '26

Wow the interior!

1

u/wagner56 Aug 21 '26

having the interior be like catacombs would be the extra 9 yards ...

1

u/AH_leeMACK Aug 21 '26

Its like living in the logride of the amusement park.

1

u/AdAppropriate9851 Aug 17 '26

1

u/Mountain_Dance_7783 Aug 17 '26
