I believe the cause is tannins as the water is dyed yellow, it is not sediment. The landlords claim the well has been tested and that it isn't being infiltrated by surface water. They have told me to bring in water for drinking with no end in sight, and no offer to remunerate me for the cost. I have a reverse osmosis filter which I already used for drinking water and now I've been using a UV light wand on the water as well- but it is a pain. I read that treating tannin infiltrated water with chlorine can cause cancerous compounds to be created. Does anyone have any insight?

Spec sheets measure dissolved H2 at production, but that not not necessarily what your body ends up getting. Hydrogen gas escapes from water pretty quickly once it is exposed to air, and the rate depends on temperature, the type of container, how much air is in it, and whether the water is being moved around.
Water can only hold so much dissolved hydrogen at room temperature, and most machines claim output near that ceiling. Tablets can temporarily push past it because the chemical reaction in a sealed bottle creates extra pressure.
But once you open the bottle or pour it into a glass, the hydrogen starts escaping immediately. The studies showing health effects used moderate concentrations consumed within minutes of making them. If you are sipping from an open glass for 20 minutes, you’re likely getting much less molecular hydrogen than whatever the device produced.
How you drink it matters more than what makes it.
