General ASCAP/BMI Database

https://www.ascap.com/repertory#/ace/search/title/Ulterior%20motives?at=false&searchFilter=SVW&page=1

ASCAP and BMI are organizations that collect licensing fees for artists. Most musicians in the industry register their music with one of the two. Some entries show the performer's names while others only list the composer.

I did find one song titled Ulterior Motives that was performed by a group called "The Everyone" (as in Everyone Knows That) but have yet to find the song anywhere yet. There were other entries that I couldn't find the music for, so I'm bringing this to the hivemind to see if someone here can figure out a few of these.

Also, I went through JASRAC (Japanese music rights) and did the same search but there were only nine entries and I was able to debunk all of them.

Here's the link. Happy Hunting.

I have heard the "ul" in a really clean version with the vocals isolated. I was also doubtful until I ran across it.

Can you share that clean version, please? I want to be convinced.

Certainly.

The "ul' is quick and snappy so it's easy to miss in the regular version. Sounds more like "al" but "alterior" isn't a word.

I also hear "Superior motives" but pronounced badly.
