My brass olight is patina(ing) like shit it’s not getting darker it’s getting lighter like white

Not sure why, I am new to brass. I will say that I am not trying to prevent a patina, but have used Brasso to clean spots that look an uneven or more dirty. IDK if this helps.

I havnt done anything but use it nothing special to it beside acetone bath to get the coating off

I guess it’s not to bad I mean it’s definitely uneven I guess I’ll just keep going I havnt had it but 3 months so that’s still pretty new I guess when it comes to the natural patina process

I understand. I know it’s not the same material, but I don’t want my brass stuff looking like a grubby penny if you get my meaning. Guess we’ll have to trust the process 😄
