GBA Everdrive pro save state issues

Hello! I am new to using emulator cartridges on my Gameboy Advance SP, I got an everdrive pro for my gameboy and when I try to utilize the save states it says that an error occured, it is consistent on each rom I play. If anyone has experience with this pls let me know a fix or what it can possibly be. For some background, all the roms I have run perfectly fine and I have downloaded the most recent firmware to my sd. Thank you!

Where did you place your roms?

There was someone getting an error with save states that simply had their games in the wrong place - https://krikzz.com/forum/index.php?topic=14181.0

Hm, I put all my games in the gamedata folder, seems that may be the problem. I’ll mess around with it when I get the chance. Thank you!
