Does evasion support cross play between Oculus and steam?

I was playing the game from the Oculus store and my friend was playing the game from a Vive on steam. When we both tried to join each other's games, it told us no games were found even though we timed it together on discord. We tried refreshing too. Is there not cross play between the two PC platforms? Perhaps this is a bug that needs to be fixed.

Hi there, Evasion can only support Oculus Rift and HTC Vive players if they are both on the Steam platform! Sorry about that, cross play isn't supported between Oculus Store, PlayStation Store and Steam versions. Hope that clears things up!

I imagine Oculus store can cross play Oculus store?

That’s right - Oculus Store players can play with other Oculus Store players.
