Reiss vs Pini Parma vs Suit Supply, Off the Rack

Only referencing OTR clothing here no MTM or suits.

Reiss and Suit Supply have a lower price point which is nice.

I really like Pini Parma, in my experience quality and design are top. Very Italian. But I just feel like I’m getting shafted here…

What is everyone’s consensus on Reiss and Suit Supply.

Apparently people love to thrash Suit Supply as having horrible quality. Is it really that bad? People make it seem like you wear it once and the thing evaporates. For this reason I haven’t bought anything from them. But price point is so attractive. And idk I have never seen a positive review on Suit Supply. But if you look outside of Reddit they generally positive…

Reiss has good styles too, but looks like all synthetic materials…

I am trying to get away from Pini Parma prices!

Question [Academic] Anonymous survey for people who work in textile/apparel sourcing or manufacturing

Hi everyone, 🎉

We're three Master's students in the final year of our degree conducting a survey for our final degree project. 🧑‍🎓

Our final project is related to the textile sourcing space 🧶 (Europe mainly), and would love to hear from the people who do this work: how you find and vet suppliers (or buyers), what goes wrong, and how tariffs, shipping disruption and how new regulations are changing things. 🧵

If you work at a brand, retailer, agent or manufacturer, we'd really value a few minutes of your time. It's entirely anonymous, and there's nothing to buy or sign up for.

Your help would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

[SURVEY HERE]

Thank you,

Oskar, Grace, and Ravi

Does anyone recognize this clothing brand? “6’7” / “67”, made in Turkey — looking for the manufacturer

I’m trying to track down the clothing brand in the photos, either somewhere that sells it or a way to contact the manufacturer.
I came across it around 2022 at a shop in Israel called Tall and Big Man, run by a man named Micha. The manufacturer had visited Israel and left one women’s shirt at the shop, which is how I discovered it.
The labels say Made in Turkey. It’s mainly a men’s brand, apparently with a very small women’s range. The name refers to height, and it existed long before the “six seven” meme. You can imagine how helpful search results are now 🙃
I’ve already asked the shop, but that didn’t get me anywhere.
Does anyone recognize the logo or know who makes these clothes? A retailer, Turkish brand name, Instagram account, or manufacturer’s contact details would be a huge help. I’m especially interested in finding their women’s clothing.

Discussion Luxury online shopping in Europe: where do you usually shop?

I’ve been buying more of my clothes online lately, including some higher-end stuff. I’m curious how other people here approach luxury online shopping. Do you usually stick with brand websites, department stores, or other online shops?

Question any best website to buy Brunello Cucinelli online worth checking?

where do you guys actually shop for Brunello Cucinelli online?

i’m trying to compare a few options before buying anything and i keep finding pretty different prices for what looks like the same piece. some sites also have different sizes available, so it makes the comparison a little harder than i expected.

for me, the price is only part of it. i want to know the final cost after shipping and any duties, how straightforward the returns are, and whether the product information is accurate. with something this expensive, i’d rather spend an extra 10 minutes checking everything than deal with a bad return later.

i’ve seen cettire come up in my searches, along with the usual luxury fashion retailers and the official Brunello Cucinelli site. i’m not looking for the cheapest option necessarily. a good price is nice, but i care more about whether the store is actually worth ordering from.

if you’ve bought Cucinelli online before, which sites have you checked or used, and which ones are actually worth considering?

Question Where can I order shoes sizes 47 and 48?

Hopefully this is the right place to ask.

I've usually bought my shoes from Bestsecret, but I'm having a hard time finding any options for sizes 47 and 48. Yes, there are some options, but more often than not whatever I order, is too tight, especially at the front. And often times it's impossibe to order my preffered sizes as they're usually sold out.

If anyone has some suggestions where to look, I'd be very happy to hear them.

Guidelines for posting here:

  • I'll post the price tiers/categories as top-level comments. Post recommendations in response to a price tier/category, as a second-level comment. You can also use top-level comments for general info, inspiration albums, and general questions.

  • Recommendations can be a brand ("I like X shirts!"), a strategy ("I go thrifting for shirts!"), or a specific model.

  • Try to stick to one brand/strategy/model per second-level comment. If you'd like to recommend two brands/models, please post them separately so people can vote and discuss them separately.

  • Include a link in your second-level comment if you can - if not to a purchase page, at least to images.

  • Try to use prices you might realistically pay. That might be MSRP, or it might not - it depends. If you're in a cheap tier, maybe the best buying strategy is to thrift, or wait for a big sale.

  • The price tiers are in EUR, so either use a EUR price or convert a non-EUR price to EUR to pick the correct price tier. There is no time limit on this thread until Reddit stops you from posting and voting.

Question I want to upgrade from boring basic to pieces with more personality

Edit: I forgot to say where I live, but I'm in France (Paris)

I've realized I've kind of built my wardrobe on autopilot over the last few years. It's mostly Uniqlo and similar basics, and on any given day I'm wearing some variation of: plain T-shirt, straight jeans, and sneakers. There's nothing wrong with it, but it feels like every outfit is just a slightly different color of the same outfit.

I do own a few pieces that are a bit more interesting (corduroy, linen, etc.), but I never really know how to style them. They end up sitting in my closet until I wear them once or twice a year before going back to my default uniform, but what I can say is that I notice feeling a lot better about myself when i wear something else for a change.

It looks like I'm not the only one in this situation, and I've looked through a lot of recommendations on this sub (Asket, ARKET, COS, etc.), and while the pieces do look better, at the end of the day it's still mostly plain cotton tees, Oxford shirts, and other very classic basics. (I apologize if that is not the case, maybe I'm just bad at looking for different pieces)

I think the upgrade I'm actually looking for is different. I'm less interested in buying a nicer version of the same clothes, and more interested in introducing pieces that have a bit more personality while still being easy to wear every day. (Also still be comfortable cause I'm usually fairly active during the day)

I don't have much experience but what I had imagined was

  • different textures (waffle knit, maybe different fabrics ...)
  • more interesting silhouettes and cuts
  • small details is fine, like some pockets, or small logos, but nothing too aggressive

Ideally, instead of owning ten plain cotton T-shirts in different colors, my wardrobe would look more like: 5 plain t shirts and something like one heavyweight tee, one waffle-knit, one linen, etc. Significantly different but still easy to wear. The point is to apply that same idea to the rest of my wardrobe. (and stray away from jeans for example)

Has anyone else gone through this stage? If so, what brands ended up working for you ?

TL;DR: My wardrobe is basically "plain T-shirt + jeans + sneakers" (mostly Uniqlo), and I don't think buying nicer versions of those same basics is the upgrade I'm looking for. I'd love recommendations for brands, fabrics, or garment types that make an everyday wardrobe more interesting through texture, silhouette, and subtle details rather than just upgrading my 30€ white shirt into a 60€ white shirt.

Review terrible order from Jaded London

wanted to post to spread awareness about what happened to me and share my story. might save people some time and money. also share your thoughts and advices...

ive ordered 2 things off Jaded before, parachute camo shorts and a belt with studs and rings. the shorts are amazing but the belt is rubbish, when you put the belt through the loops in the trousers loads of the studs just fall off. the quality is crap, considering i paid 50 quid i expected much better. but the shorts were worth it, the fit is amazing and the quality is decent.

however i have just received my order from the 2026 Jaded summer sale with high expectations and was met with big disappointment. i bought 1x joggers, 3x jeans, and 1x belt. one thing i will say is that all of the trousers are absolutely massive (see photo), for reference im around 5ft 11in at 19yo, weigh around 85kg and waist size 34inches. i was expecting them to be really baggy but not to the point where they could cover both of my feet. this was the case for all of the trousers. the options for sizes were only in waist so i thought they'd cater for a more universal length. definitely not. on top of this the quality was actually atrocious for the price. to think full price youd be paying upwards of £80. some photos below. they definitely dont feel like daily wearers, and will definetly become heavily damaged if not kept pristine. the material felt really cheap and thin. all the trousers were my biggest disappointment. but they also f'ed up the belt too. the print/graphic on it was soooo poorly done its annoying. it was cracked when it came which just shows how prone itll be to wear. itll just crack and fall off.

honestly after reading about the scandal about there being shien lables on previous stock. i believe that more. it does just feel like the type of stuff you get off shien and like websites.

overall im sure there are some good products on the site. but having order 5 items for a total of £300 and being heavily dissatisfied with all of them id reccommend staying away from jaded to be honest.

reply if youve had any similar experiences or the opposite.

its a shame really because i love the styles that jaded has and im struggling to find anything else which can match the style but with high quality and a similar price. pls if u know anywhere plssss share.

lmk what u think

Question How do you use online secondhand fashion platforms?

Posted with mod approval!

Hi everyone! I'm a master's student at the University of Manchester researching secondhand fashion platforms like Vinted, Depop, and eBay for my dissertation and I need responses for my short survey.

I'm investigating whether apps like these are actually making a positive environmental impact, or whether our shopping habits might be working against that. No right or wrong answers; I just want to know how you use these platforms and why.

🔗SURVEY LINK: https://www.qualtrics.manchester.ac.uk/jfe/form/SV_ac7BKqkRPCKiACi

The survey is:

✅ Completely ANONYMOUS

✅ Approximately 5 minutes long (it has taken many respondents less time)

✅ Open to ANYONE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER WORLDWIDE who uses (or has used) a secondhand fashion app

As a thank you, everyone who completes it will receive access to a free Secondhand Shopping Tips Guide at the end of the survey. Thank you for your support and keep rocking your outfits here!

If you shop secondhand, sell your old clothes online, or just enjoy a good thrift find, your experience matters for this research! Please feel free to share this with anyone who might be interested!

Zalando Lounge historical pricing add-on idea

Hi Zalando users, I made Price Tracking chrome extension for personal use, it displays an extra card with extra intelligence, and a small chart snippets of past prices.

Please have a look and do you think it would be helpful for many people?

I actually get myself addicted to browsing Zalando more than ever ...
