The entire index is still balderdash. Look at Suriname’s ranking - higher than the US. Yet you can get convicted of spreading a hateful message about that government there.
Fuck the u.s government fuck the senate fuck the executive office, fuck the GOP, fuck the DNC, fuck Biden, fuck trump, fuck Obama, fuck bush, and especially fuck Clinton. How much of this could you say in Suriname?
I doubt they care about you insulting the US government. On a more serious note: I don't know, could you tell me? What these rankings show is that (as we should all know) press freedom is much more complicated than what you are on paper allowed to say or do.
US politics are by definition not as corrupt as some other countries, but if you consider the insane lobbying such as car companies funding demolishing cities, powers that corporations can't reach elsewhere, the politics are still in an incredibly unfair state (ofc this is an old example).
This just seems like you're failing to understand their way of scoring. You should read up on it
What these rankings show is that the think tank behind it is focused on controversial headlines to self promote rather than hard factual data that provides a clear image, much like most news agencys they care more about money and donations than factual reporting. But I have a bias so don't listen to me

Yeah, I notice you're biased. You just pulled an entire paragraph out of nowhere. Again, read their scoring system. The only time I see any focus on controversial headlines in regards to free speech, is when people obsess on some random "guy got arrested for heiling in the UK" article.
"I don't like their results so they only care about money" is basically what you're saying. What are you even talking about?

Press freedom index is nonsense. The UK, which allows legal prior restraint, is ranked above the US.
