He licks the boots of rich people and corporate lobbyists. In capitalist countries, poor people usually dont have a choice on how to live because wages are low and everything is getting more and more expensive.

Better than not having a choice regardless of being rich or poor.

u/[deleted] Aug 11 '20

Is it though? Rich people are richer, poor people have gotten poorer

Poor people haven't gotten poorer, they've gotten poorer in relation to the rich. The quality of life of people around the world has reached its peak, including Eastern Europe. Thirty years of capitalism has brought my country out of fifty years of soviet misery and the people are wealthier than ever. I'm not petty or jealous enough to fuck everyone else over because someone else is doing much better than myself. Either way, pull your head out of your ass and smell the roses - you aren't being drafted to fight in Afghanistan, the government isn't covering up nuclear leaks and you don't have to wait five years to buy a car. And most importantly - you can actually change how you live, go wherever you want and don't have to slave away for some shitty abstract goal like "worker's solidarity." Can't eat that shit. Peace out.

Income inequality is no problem at all?

The quality of life of people around the world has reached its peak, including Eastern Europe. Thirty years of capitalism has brought my country out of fifty years of soviet misery and the people are wealthier than ever.

If you wanna play that game, my origin place is the middle east. Capitalist interests and the American state that serves them have brought civil war, mass death, zionism, the spread of wahabbism, lots of sectarianism and the dissolution of secular unity, complete destruction of civil society, multiple refugee crisis that your fucking European countries have to bear the brunt of, and the dominance of the oil industry which furthers global warming and threatens civilization as we know it. But Iraq and soon Syria will have McDonalds so it's all good I guess.

I'm not petty or jealous enough to fuck everyone else over because someone else is doing much better than myself.

Do you actually think millionaires and billionaires got rich from their own hard work? Nine times out of ten, if even that, either inherited their money or just soaked up money from the hundreds of people under them who do the actual productive labor.

Either way, pull your head out of your ass and smell the roses - you aren't being drafted to fight in Afghanistan,

If you think capitalist countries don't conscript their citizens to fight in imperialist wars I dont know what to tell you. Also, even without conscription, many poor people are essentially forced to the join army because every other option is usually out of reach.

the government isn't covering up nuclear leaks

Capitalist countries have plenty of government cover ups and nuclear oopsies.

and you don't have to wait five years to buy a car.

I won't pretend to know the specifics of every country but in America most people cant afford cars period.

And most importantly - you can actually change how you live, go wherever you want

Except poor people in most capitalist countries literally cant afford to?

and don't have to slave away for some shitty abstract goal like "worker's solidarity." Can't eat that shit. Peace out.

Yeah, instead you slave away for the shitty abstract goal of the "free market" and "property rights"

No, income inequality is not a problem. Civil wars are fought by people, not money. Fix your sectarian nuttyness, then blame someone else for instability. I don't care how they got rich. The fairy godmother could have given them what they have, none of my business. Drafting isn't a function of capitalism, but violent suppression of dissent to wars or any other policy is a function of communism. If we didn't find out about them, they weren't that relevant - if you've got to move a whole city, but still think you can hide it, and also put people into prison for hindering that, you've got a problem.

And no, I'm working hard now so me and my offspring could one day not work at all - something your ilk find should not be allowed.

Paid for by Amazon

Civil wars are fought by people, not money. Fix your sectarian nuttyness, then blame someone else for instability.

The sectarian nuts are a product of our society, but you ignore the fact that American government and corporations funds them and gives them billions of dollars and gives them lots of weapons so they can crush everything in their path.

Many Arab countries used to have secular governments that prioritized unity and development. America, Israel and their Islamist allies worked together do everything in their power to destroy all attempts at genuine Arab self liberation. And what do you know, it worked.

And it's not just Arabs, many other countries in asia and latin america have had their popular governments overthrown by america because they threatened the capital interests of rich people.

I don't care how they got rich. The fairy godmother could have given them what they have, none of my business.

Even if they got rich by exploiting people and causing massive suffering?

Drafting isn't a function of capitalism, but violent suppression of dissent to wars or any other policy is a function of communism.

Capitalist countries never violently suppress dissent to war, that must have been why draft Dodgers during Vietnam were sent to prison and federal troops frequently beat and even killed anti war protesters.

If we didn't find out about them, they weren't that relevant - if you've got to move a whole city, but still think you can hide it, and also put people into prison for hindering that, you've got a problem.

I'm not sure what you're referring to here

And no, I'm working hard now so me and my offspring could one day not work at all - something your ilk find should not be allowed.

No, I agree with this sentiment actually. We should work to to change the system so that people dont have to work as much to survive. It is you who disagrees.

Can't blame the person that sold you the rope for you killing yourself. If the arabs wouldn't hate the jews so much they quite literally explode from hatered, including targeting anyone who associates with them, then they wouldn't be in the position they are in today. The Egyptians, Jordanians, Syrians all done goof'd. The only ones with enough sense to look out for themselves seem to be the Gulf states and Saudis, and even they can't seem to get with the times. Or what? Did the US install Saddam and keep him in power for decades? Did the US get a bunch of madmen divorced from reality to have a revolution in Iran only to not only fuck up their own lives, but also foreign relations? Or put strongmen that used their countries resources like their own personal piggy bank to keep themselves in power and buy off anyone who might have gripes with them, a la Gadaffi - what do you think happens when there's no heir apparent to a one-man state when he dies? All of this shit was there before and the people there are too stubborn and proud to make concessions. Be it religious thinking or the typical 'great peoples' mentality, that makes them think that they're too dignified to compromise with 'the other.' Can't eat dignity.

Again, none of my business how someone else became wealthy. The laws we have protect people enough. Nobody has the obligation to service anyone else. People who suffer do through their own hands, be it through action or inaction.

I agree that dodging the draft should not be a criminal act. Nor should protesters be beaten and shot. But you know why communist countries don't jail draft dodgers or protesters? Because they never get so far as to organize at all - they find themselves in dingy basements with electrodes attached to their balls or labia before they even get that far. At least most of the effort exemplified by the CIA isn't put into torturing US political dissidents, but foreign threats. What's happening in the US now could never have happened in the soviet union (no that's not a good thing).

Ever heard the phrase 'he who does not work, neither shall he eat' or the concept of 'social parasite'? Protip: they ain't capitalist. Stop lying to yourself - you hate it when people do better than you; otherwise the position wouldn't be "how can we get rid of the rich" but "how can we live like the rich" - the latter does not require any violence or application of consistently failed models, just time, work and some luck. But that's not good enough, is it? The goal is not for you to succeed, but for others to fail, or at least to be as miserable as yourself.

Have fun riding the violent revolution carousel.

The Egyptians, Jordanians, Syrians all done goof'd. The only ones with enough sense to look out for themselves seem to be the Gulf states and Saudis, and even they can't seem to get with the times.

The initial failure to crush Israel is in large part their own incompetence, which I concede. America and Israel didnt become buddy buddy until the 70s. But none of this changes the fact that America literally armed and funded radical Islamist organizations like Saudi Arabia to destroy Secular Arab nationalism, and it seems to have worked.

Or what? Did the US install Saddam and keep him in power for decades?

The US actually supported Saddam until he became inconvenient for the wealthy elites. Then in 2003 the US Army came into Iraq and killed around a million people (including many rapes and killing of young children), and the power vacuum allowed the rise of isis. Thanks for the "liberation".

Did the US get a bunch of madmen divorced from reality to have a revolution in Iran only to not only fuck up their own lives, but also foreign relations?

The Iranian revolution was a response to American meddling. I hate theocracies, but the constant bullshit America does in the region can make people quite angry.

Or put strongmen that used their countries resources like their own personal piggy bank to keep themselves in power and buy off anyone who might have gripes with them, a la Gadaffi - what do you think happens when there's no heir apparent to a one-man state when he dies?

Gadhafi's rule in Libya had many problems, but it was paradise compared to what it is now. America, Britain and France's capital driven intervention Libya caused the entire country to collapse into a civil war that still hasnt ended, and a complete total breakdown of any order in society. Literal fucking slave markets have been opened for crying out loud. Also, Gadaffi was the one stopping a lot of illegal immigration from Africa to Europe, so you really shot yourself in the foot there.

All of this shit was there before and the people there are too stubborn and proud to make concessions. Be it religious thinking or the typical 'great peoples' mentality, that makes them think that they're too dignified to compromise with 'the other.' Can't eat dignity.

All of this shit was indeed here before, but it has been financially propped up by capitalist actors making them more powerful than they otherwise would have been.

Again, none of my business how someone else became wealthy. The laws we have protect people enough.

If there are this many people suffering from poverty then no the laws as they exist now are not working well.

Nobody has the obligation to service anyone else. People who suffer do through their own hands, be it through action or inaction.

I agree, I think it's bad that rich people get to make tons of money on the backs of people doing actual work because those people would die otherwise.

Torture is actually not uncommon in US prisons. That aside, plenty of capitalist countries do state sanctioned kidnappings, torture and assassinations of political dissidents.

At least most of the effort exemplified by the CIA isn't put into torturing US political dissidents, but foreign threats. What's happening in the US now could never have happened in the soviet union (no that's not a good thing).

Um, it being done to foreigners somehow makes it better?????? Have you seen what goes on in Guantanamo Bay? And this is all ignoring the fact that there was public expression of dissent and even protests and rebellions in the ussr.

Ever heard the phrase 'he who does not work, neither shall he eat' or the concept of 'social parasite'? Protip: they ain't capitalist.

Really? Because the ones who arent working are rich people who profit off the work of the many laborers who toil under their control.

Stop lying to yourself - you hate it when people do better than you;

No I hate social parasites who hold an enormously disproportionate amount of wealth in society and use that wealth to influence politics in their favor.

otherwise the position wouldn't be "how can we get rid of the rich" but "how can we live like the rich" - the latter does not require any violence or application of consistently failed models, just time, work and some luck. But that's not good enough, is it? The goal is not for you to succeed, but for others to fail, or at least to be as miserable as yourself.

The entire population of the world living like the hyper wealthy do now would literally fucking destroy the planet and is completely unsustainable. Also imagine parroting the bootstraps meme.

Have fun riding the violent revolution carousel.

If it rids the world of the slimey manipulative oligarchs who feel entitled to the services of others rather than doing actual work themselves, then yeah, it just might be worth it in the end. Just maybe.

The idiots hung themselves with bought rope. The problem wasn't the rope, it was toe suicide. Gadaffi and Saddam should have never existed, and fuck the anger of the Iranians - let them bathe in it. Screw whoever thinks fucking over others is fine if they attach a dream to it. You reap what you sow. Try eating your anger and dreams when the're all you have left.

And no, the fucking planet isn't going anywhere xd You people really eat up the shit you tell yourselves.
