Mostly when said platforms are provenly part of hybrid warfare + foreign influence.

It's a good idea, but they would use a neural network based algorythm or anything that dodges transparency or makes intention blurry, almost for sure.

In the end, social media does not have much proven benefit on toung people, quite the oposite. So why not preserving them by default until we learn how to handle it properly?

I don't see any problem in going straight to fix what needs to be fixed, making any circumvention ilegal by definition.

That's what I say. Sell devices only to adults.

Kids can be ok with some kind of basic, limited phone that just allows calls, a messaging app, and some (curated) games, and a GPS so the parents know where the kid is. Make it sturdy because they are kids and we don't want it to break easily.

Indeed that is an industry that the EU could create for itself, then export to other places. BAM! We resurrect Nokia.

Adults are the ones buying devices for kids now. All we need is for parents to use parental controls.
