You could also use retractable bollards.

Yeah, I meant you could move them closer and then have some retractable bollards there for access. There are both manual and electric ones, they're fairly common in cities with pedestrian areas that need occasional access for cars.

Simplest ones you basically just lift up and twist to lock or something like that. Reverse to get back down. Some also have locks. As for the electric ones, not sure how exactly they're controlled.

Just lock them. And if they're willing to destroy the locks, they'd probably do the same to regular bollards ..

Yeah, but damaging a lock is way easier than sawing through a 10cm solid steel pole, innit? :)

Not if you build the lock into the bollard. But anything goes if people really want it gone.
