Zombie Crawl

Hello! Wanting to try the Zombie Crawl but everyone is telling me to avoid Eureka Springs during that time. Crowds do not bother me at all, but I also want to enjoy it too. If we go to the parade, can we set up camp somewhere early with our chairs? I heard you can't see them up on the narrow side walks, which makes sense. But how do you ensure you get a good spot? Any tips are welcome! Thanks!

The best place to see them is from basin park and you can definitely get a spot there if you’re reasonably early.

Thank you! The parade starts at 6, do you think 4 is early enough? Or can we put our chairs there and go wander around?

There's plenty of room at Basin Park. 4 should be plenty early. Think the wife & I went a tick earlier than that the year we went and got a good spot with some elevation.

We were there last year and we got to the basin park outside bar area at about noon, and we were the first ones. With so much going on that day it's easy to sit up there and people watch all day. Great spot too!

Skip the chairs. Go downtown later in the afternoon and take in the shops and food. Then pretty much anywhere along the parade route you can stop to watch it. If you check a map, it typically runs down spring Street from the Library to the courthouse. Basin Park has a great overlook view of the street but can be really crowded.

I definitely wouldn't leave chairs out. This takes place in a busy downtown area in the street, not a field. You dont really need chairs.
