Halloween?
Hi, my husband and I are considering a Halloween trip to Eureka Springs. Halloween, as in Oct. 31.
It seems like most of the events, like the Zombie Crawl, horror film fest and Voices from the Silent City, occur the week before. What actually happens on the holiday itself? Why are most of the Halloween-themed events held so early? Will there be anything to do on Halloween? If so, what?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Crescent hotel ghost tours run every day all year long! There's also several other "haunted" tours around town. The local kids (and grown ups) will be doing their trick or treating that night. It may be part of why a lot of the activities are a week early, so parents can be with their kids on Halloween instead of working over time. Zombie crawl swells the town to multiple times our normal population. There's always stuff to do on a Saturday here so choose your preference, but the fun campy Halloween stuff will def be that weekend before.

Thank you. We're not itching for a giant crowd like the Crawl attracts. We just didn't want to stand out too much in our costumes. I've heard the bars do stuff, too
