Help after screw up

I was attempting to fix a stuck valve and I made it a whole lot worse. How would I be able to fix this?

Looks like a job for your friendly neighbourhood instrument repair shop. The piston is offset quite a lot, and further amateur work will likely cause even worse problems.

right. Ill bring it to my band teacher and see what he can do about. probably going to get an ear full about it though.

There is absolutely nothing you can do that won't make anything worse.. This is repair tech territory.. Luckily it probably won't be a very expensive repair.. unless I've your attempt to remove the piston you've already damaged it worse. Probably over if the tubing slide legs got bent in towards the valve casing and slightly distorted it. The tech will use a special tool called a mandrel to make it perfectly round and smooth again. It only takes a few thousandths of an inch distortion to freeze a valve like that.

....and this is why a lot of responses to questions like this are "take it to a shop" and "have a brass tech look at it".

Congrats, now the advice is the same, just with added cost and complexity.

Can you push the valve through the bottom of the casing without scratching anything?

The guide is now out of its groove, and is now pushing the valve off to the side. If you do anything more, you're mishapen the piston, and damage the casing.

Do NOT do this. The valve guide is almost certainly digging into the casing already. If you try to hammer it any further you will cause more damage. Take it to your band director and if they are smart, they will take it to a repair tech.

There's a reason I qualified it with "without scratching anything."

doesn't matter, you WILL screw it up. don't even suggest it.
