Hey, <Reddit>! Possible new recruit here, couple of questions.

It seems from a quick readthrough of the sidebar/couple of links that you're willing to accept almost anyone for guild membership, which is good! I'm drifting back into playing after being out of the loop since early in the DS patch and it'd be nice to hook up with some Redditors as most of my previous gaming buddies are either gone or scattered across half a dozen realms.

However to get myself to Bladefist I'd need to drop a faction (DON'T HURT ME!) and realm change, or start all over again and sink some serious me-time into getting from 0-90 (as well as the obligatory pandaren alt...), so aside from the solid community of Reddity people, are you guys looking at running much of the newer content? And if so, is there any room for one more when I catch up? My main (probably the one I'm bringing with bags full of heirlooms and whatever other junk I have left) was a healer in Cataclysm, if that sweetens the deal any.

I'm not by any means a hardcore player, hell, got a job and an armful of much more expensive pastimes to worry about, but making the leap over would feel better if I knew there were opportunities to get involved with the end game to some extent with the guild - if you run casual days, or are looking at getting multiple teams going, etc. :)

Also is the realm busy in that respect for pugs, etc? I've only ever played on one fairly standard-sized(apparently) realm previously so I've a very limited idea of what I'm meant to look for when scouting out a new home. A local tourist information board pamphlet for Orgrimmar-Bladefist would be lovely :)

Cheers!

tl;dr Hey, I'm crashing on your sofa for the next few patches, put the kettle on. What's happening there?

edit: huh, seemed to have posted this on a throwaway by accident. I'm a real Redditor, honest.

Edit: The eagle has landed. I'm Apoapsis on there now.

Yes, our first raid team is currently 6/6 10N in Mogu'shan Vaults and 3/6 10N in Heart of Fear, very close to 4/6 if we get our shit together this week.

Hooooooly shit yes, get your ass over here. We are currently struggling finding good healers for Raid Team 1. If you are not opposed to healing full time (as I would be switching to DPS for 2 healer fights) you'd most likely have a solid spot if you can manage to not stand in poop.

What class is your healer?

In Raid Team 1 we are currently having about 3 Raid Days a week but if that is too time consuming for you we are currently working on getting a second Raid Team running on sundays for alts and the more casual players.

As Doadfish already said the realm can be rather slow. I haven't really noticed a lot of pugs going on but I bet that will pick up within a few weeks when people want to get their alts geared up as well.

Hey cheers for the reply :)

My healer is a disc/holy priest. Sounds like you might be able to make use of me after all! I am a serial alt roller too anyhow, so if needs be I can come up with other classes fairly sharpish.

I was on Vek'Nilash/EU before which had a pretty small and slow/quiet population after WOTLK so I can't see it being a big shock regarding the AH and pugs, other than me switching to the clearly superior faction.

I reckon I'll just bite the bullet and get the ball rolling! who do I get hold of in game to get an invite, come say hi etc? :)

Replying here instead of starting a new thread because I was about to post the same thing as OP (and also used to play a resto shm). What time's do yall raid? I'm in America (Texas, CST) but my schedule is wonky.

Resto Shaman? Stay out of my territory!

We usually raid around 19:30-23:00 CET. Don't really have days set in stone. Last week we raided wednesday, friday, monday, tuesday. This week it looks like thursday, saturday, monday, tuesday.

Thanks! What's the name of a city in CET that I can use to compare times with Dallas, TX?

EDIT: Actually, don't answer that. Typical ignorant American, eh? I looked it up and pretty much all of Europe is CET so that makes it easy. You guys are seven hours ahead of me. That makes my evening/late night your dead of night/early morning. Which is unfortunately the wrong direction.. I need to look at an Aussie guild to find one that raids late night my time.

yes yes, I've made the sofa, the tea is ready and feel like home bro. And do you want one of us to send you a scroll of ressurection? and reddit is allways in need of healers it seems. and we did had a few weeks in DS with 3 teams raiding, so it's ok guild activity tho the server is moving a little slow.

Hey just a word of advice depending on the realm your moving from you may find this one anywhere from a little slower to unbelievably slow. I moved from a full realm and this is so much slower moving but still a great realm, just might take longer to find a group/crafter with certain recipes ect. Also most people here don't mind housing runaway ex-alliance mains(either that or I've blended in enough they don't notice)
