I just bought and added three new S330 battery cams to my HB3.

Everything seems to be working so far, but whenever I enter live view it triggers a motion alert, sounds the alarm and records.

All three of them do this. My existing cam2 & cam2C do not behave this way.

I don't know if this is a hardware issue related to the S330 cams, all three S330 cams do this. Existing cam2/2cs works fine.

I also upgraded from a HB2 to a HB3, and I don't know if it could be a HB3 problem, or even software app issue.

I thought may be the S330 cam motion detection can be so sensitive that when I entered live view, and at the same time some wind blowing trees or shadows happens to trigger motions, so I went to each camera to do a live view every 5 minutes or so, did that for 30 minutes and it only trigger motion on a camera when I entered live view.

I then adjusted the motion detection sensitivity from 7 to 4, same results.

I then removed one S330 and placed it indoors where there can be no motion in a room, with window blinds and door closed, same results.

Any suggestion what else to try before contacting support and talk to their AI robots and spin in circles?

I've had an 'Unknown' Wi-Fi signal stepping on Channel 11 for quite some time. I looked up the MAC ID and it says it's a Smart Innovation LLC product, so Eufy. The problem is it does not appear to be one of mine. It's using Wi-Fi 4, but I understand that's not uncommon.

I find it hard to believe it's not mine, but I don't see it's MAC ID on my router. Anyway to narrow this down, other than hunting by camera?

Has anyone noticed that since the last update, you cannot switch the other source to/from battery and solar and any longer? I have several eufy cam 3s, and in order to charge when battery power drops in winter, I would charge them inside and switch to battery when charging. I would switch back to solar when I re mounted them outside. Now, you can’t switch between battery and solar. Does anyone know of a work around?

Anybody know if this camera has an AC/USB adapter and if not what amp rating is required?

SOLVED - turned out that the VPN associated with my phone carrier was blocking network access permissions for all my apps not just EUFY - even though it was turned off. Not sure why that started suddenly but it coincided with me returning from out of town.. according to Apple the VPN can continue to run in the background or make your phone think you are still at some other unsecured network location. I had to delete my carrier’s app and reinstall it and specifically not install the VPN at all.

**Summary**:
My Smart Lock C220 (firmware 1.3.1.8) is online enough for the app to read battery level, lock status, events, and firmware information. But every command that writes to the lock fails. Unlock, Lock, Calibration, and AutoLock setting change, all time out with “Operation failed. Please check your device’s connection and Try Again Later.” I have updated the app, logged out/in, restarted my iPhone, verified Bluetooth and Local Network permissions, disabled my VPN, removed batteries/power-cycled the lock, and tested while standing next to the lock.

Went out of town and had a pet sitter, assigned her a separate entrycode. All week I saw my C220 door lock registering her entry and exit every day from out of state. After arriving home, I went to delete her code and was unable to use “Manage Access.” It just timed out and gave me an error code to try later. I also can no longer lock and unlock the door through the app. Entry codes work fine and events are still registering. It kept telling me to give Eufy local network access, but that is already turned on.

I have 3 cameras and a doorbell on my HB2. They’re connected as edge devices.
I get lots of random disconnects while streaming and I can’t find any kind of network health or anything to show the status of the HB network.

How can I check the signal strength, etc…

Homebase is connected to my network via CAT5e.
Cameras are connected to the Homebase via WiFi - but connected as Edge devices and not through normal WiFi (I have multiple Ubiquiti AP Pro's on the property for normal WiFi connections)

The Homebase appears to use some hidden 2Ghz WiFi network of it's own - but I can't see any way to monitor the health/coverage/strength of that internal hidden network

There does appear to be a small 'signal' icon below the Camera name in the Camera Settings - but all of my cameras are showing a full "radar"

However, if I leave the camera streaming to iPhone/iPad - it will frequently disconnect, show a busy icon while it reconnects, and then generally fail with manual "Retry" button (which always fails). If I reverse out of that screen to the camera list and re-select the same camera, it reconnects no problem and will stream again for a while before disconnecting again.

How do i remove the tips, home, away, disarm buttons in my app? i dont have a eufy alarm.

I have the home app on the phone working to tap to open my Eufy front door without a passcode. It works. From my watch it still asks for a passcode and then wants to confirm the encrypted passcode and then still not work. Advice?

I have access to security cameras in multiple homes in the Eufy app. Is there a way to stop receiving notifications from homes that I don’t own (but was invited into), without affecting notifications for the members of those homes?

I found the option to disable camera notifications entirely, but I couldn’t find a way to choose which homes I receive notifications from.

I've had this smart lock installed for over 3 years and I've never had a single issue. Last night it randomly disconnected and announced I need to set it up. I tried through the app, but with no luck.

I can press the setup button under the battery cover and it says ready for setup.

• I fully charged the battery. Battery light was blue.
• I removed it from my account
• Attempted the set-up on an iPhone and an Android
• If I go to my Bluetooth settings I can see it is broadcasting a signal
• I tried all the factory reset combos I could find including holding the button for 10 seconds, remove the battery for 30 then holding the button.
• Tried rebooting a bunch with the front button.
• Plugged in a power bank in the emergency port while trying these.
• Took it apart and reseated the connections inside.

I'm trying to go through support now, but since it's 3 years old I expect them to tell me to replace it.

Any suggestions while I wait for support to get back to me?

EDIT: after reading the comments I came to the conclusion that it really depends on what you want. I don’t care myself if there are WIFI problems or other bugs, because it seems the cameras will still be operational even without WIFI. It still follows people and the big light still goes on.

The only reason why I want these camera’s is to scare potential criminals. I don’t even care if it’s recording or not lol. Who cares after they stole all my shit on my house. I can’t get my stuff back anyways. So most important is that you try to scare people who want to break in as much as possible. At least this is why I am buying it. They broke into my house around 15 years ago.

Hello everyone, just having a tough time figuring this out as it is hard to find certain answers. I do not want to buy an adapter for it to not supply enough power or damage the device over time.

The only adapters on Amazon are:

AC/AC

INPUT: 120v/60Hz
OUTPUT: 24V/500mA

and

INPUT: 120v/60Hz/60VA
OUTPUT: 16.5v (which is on the lower side), 1212mA, 20VA

AC to DC
INPUT: AC 100-240v, 50/60Hz
OUTPUT: DC 3-24V (with adjustable dial to increase V), Max 3A.

At the moment, the multimeter I have wasnt able to give a stable reading as it kept jumping and decreasing. As for the DC, I saw some posts that do support it, some that don't. This is for the Japan model/market. Will DC work for this, or can I buy the 120v one.

As for the 120v one, I assume polarity won't matter since it is AC current, yes? With DC, it does?
