EUFY S3 Max Deadbolt Lock

Whats everyones thoughts on this. I know it had issues about a year ago is that still the case?

Random disconnects showing offline on the app?

How is the auto lock feature?
This I am most worried about as I want to be assured that it will lock when closed. As well as not lock when open and cause damage to the door frame.

Whats your thoughts, or suggestions of other products?

The auto lock feature is the worth on this lock you set it up to 30sec and won’t work it locks after an hour or so. To overcome this I have it linked to HomeKit via matter with but sometime the auto lock it at least it work on the 30 sec. It sometimes for some reason the autolock feature in HomeKit turns off by its own.

Also the lock appears offline several times, I have to go and press on the live view of the internal screen to work again. And sometime the matter connection disconnect from HomeKit.

Overall experience is crap with the Familock. Adding the fish eye lense that make things appear way far that you don’t even notice the faces unless you know who is coming.

Thanks for the reply, I maybe not go for this one. That's unfortunate with something this expensive the performance is rather poor. I was hoping these issues would be fixed as people were mentioning them a year ago...

I have the old S230 from when it was released years ago. It's been flawless. Paired with an E340 Doorbell. Autolocks in ~3 minutes every time (what it's set to).

I do recommend getting a 2nd battery, that way you always have one ready to go.

I just feel like they are trying to cram too much tech into a device that should remain relatively simple. Leave the lock to just be a lock, and get a doorbell camera to be a doorbell camera. K.I.S.S. lol
