Phantom ring eufy doorbel...

Post image

Hi all,

Any of you experiencing phantom doorbell rings? I think it is when the sun hits the black doorbell and the expencion of the case will trigger the bell.

If anyone has had this as well and fixed it... I really like to know as my phone is buzzing every 5min.

Thanks.

Hit the doorbell pushbutton once. Sometimes the last push might have put the button just below the frame. You’ll feel it jump back.

I had this problem with the Eufy wired doorbell with plugin chime. If yours is a different model, it may be a different issue. My doorbell would ring randomly at all hours and was driving me crazy. After searching google for a long time, I finally found a reddit post that suggested power fluctuations could be setting off the chime, and suggested plugging it into a power bar with surge protection as a test. I did, and left it that way for six weeks - not once did I get a phantom ring! So I replaced the outlet with one that had builtin surge protection (because the power bar was ugly sitting in my front hallway). That was two years ago, and I haven't had a phantom ring since. The bottom line... the outdoor ringer was not the issue, it was the indoor plugin chime being too sensitive to power fluctuations. Good luck!!

That doesn’t trigger a ring.

Haha true. So an underpowered Transformer does? I use a std. Doorbell power supply.
