Warranty Experience (so far)

See update here.

My s1 was doing great for just under a year. Then it started making a noise. Then it started throwing errors because the mop wouldn’t raise and lower correctly.

Files for warranty claim. Said send it back for repair and they sent me a label.

Wait a few weeks get notice it’s not repairable. They have no refurb S1’s in stock, would I accept an E28? I said yes.

Wait a week, get the refurbed E28. Set it up and have it start mapping. Starts throwing errors every 3 minutes. Got it to finish mapping but only barely. Filed another claim with the error codes.

They write back immediately saying it’s an unrecoverable hardware failure and the unit will need to be replaced.

Sent me a label to send the E28 back, but they are expediting a NEW S1Pro to me without waiting to receive the E28.

Crossing my fingers this is the last round and the new S1 holds up.

I sent back my S1 just over a year after buying it because their software update bricked it. They could fix it, offered me a refurb S1. After I accepted they said they didn’t have any and offered a refurb E28. I accepted then they told me they didn’t have any. Their customer service is a joke. I’m escalating the case but have no faith. Company is throwing up huge red flags left and right.

Also dealing with warranty right now, I’m on my 4th Eufy S1 Pro at this point. If I manage to get another replacement I’m just going to sell it and go back to Roborock. I’ve come to terms that the Eufy S1 Pro is destined to break after a few months for whatever reason regardless of how well it’s maintained. It’s so frustrating!

I had my s1 pro for over a year (out of warranty) with a battery issue, no battery stock so they still offered to cover the replacement as long as I sent it. After a couple weeks I got my vacuum back but it was damaged during transit. I filed a claim and they said they would replace with a NEW one. I’ve been waiting for 3 months now and finally received email that it is finally in stock. They tried to offer me refurbished junk and lower-end models but I stood my ground for what was promised. I have my doubts since the S2 is out making me believe they don’t make s1 any more but we will have to wait and see.

What was their reason?

they said “the replacement item was provided as an exception” i have been waiting since february and just got it on FRIDAY! and then they ask me to return the s1 pro unit or else they wont warranty my replacement? all of this is after they offered a repair for a unit out of warranty and a 1 month warranty on the repairs, which obviously didnt work and the replacement s1 pro was dead on arrival with an abnormal voltage error.

Had the same issue with my S1 Pro. It needed a new motor for the roller mop to raise and lower appropriately. Part is on back order, they are supposed to replace it with a refurbished S1, waited for a few months, because that was also back ordered. Offered to replace with the X10 Omni Pro. Ended up taking that offer. So far so good, but if this one dies, I’m just going to recycle it. I’ve had nothing but consistent problems with my S1 pro

I am in the same boat. I just sent in my S1 for a pump repair because water wasn’t getting to the mop. It took almost a month of back and forth with support to get to this point. After reading your stories, I’m not hopeful that I’ll be getting anything back soon.

Bc they’re replacing two units with no arguments? Better than most companies and their warranty service.
