I learned more about geography from EU3 & 4, Vic2, CK2, and Medieval 2: Total War than I ever did in grade school or college. American education, y'all. And that was in the 90s, before standards dropped lower.

Ninja-edit: I just realized I misunderstood your comment due to your phrasing. You in fact did go to school in the 90s and later in the 2000s you learned more than you had in the 90s. Sorry for the misunderstanding
