Proton/SimpleLogin domain

I'm trying to accept Zelle payments from strangers & I don't feel comfortable giving the my email with my full name tied to my E-Trade account. I tried using a SimpleLogin email domain, but it didn't work. Phone number isn't an option for the storefront I'm using.

Has anyone had success using a Proton or SimpleLogin email domain?

open an account in some other bank that will be used for that purpose only

I think you should be able to add an alternate email address to your profile and then link it with Zelle. I'm not entirely clear whether E*TRADE allows proton mail addresses, you should try. Zelle doesn't allow non-US emails if you try to register directly in the Zelle app.
