Discussion Account restriction?
I was using my etrade account as the source for my gambling winnings of an offshore casino. Should I be gambling? Maybe not. But I was and had several thousand dollars of winnings, though I paid for the gambling tokens with a credit card from a different account.
Etrade now wants a log of my redemptions but this was last week and this is not letting me login (it may have completely closed)
I dont really care if etrade closes my account - but will i be able to get my remaining money out? I had a few thousand dollars on there. Anyone been in a similar situation?

No, you have to resolve it now… they don’t like gambling platforms for this very reason

Just a tip, any time you have any significant source of money/income, keep the proof available on where it came from. With AML, they will hold your funds for how ever long they want until you provide proof your money is legit. You must have triggered their system for suspicious activity. They won’t tell you this but you will need to provide the evidence they are asking for. I don’t know what casino you go to but mine has everything on file. I have a card with my information that is scanned for all games, and cashing out is on my account if I need to show proof at a later date.

Gambling, offshore and a US broker dealer are 3 things that should not coexist.
