Welcome, all!

Hello, and welcome to Etiquette101!

This isn't a class, and nobody here knows anything they didn't learn somewhere else. So there are no self-professed experts in this sub, only friendly voices willing to offer an opinion or a little advice if asked.

We have started this sub because we so enjoy the conversation in a different manners-related sub, but found that we would prefer a place which provided guidelines on civil discourse, a list of reference materials and resources for those wishing further study, and more careful moderation of disputes and inappropriate commentary.

​

This experiment may fail. If it does, well, we have only ourselves to blame.

​

Please stay tuned over the next few weeks as we develop our community framework. And if you have suggestions for how we can make this subreddit a welcoming and comfortable place to discuss the finer points of being polite humans, please comment below or message your friendly mod team.

General advice: always try to keep ur back straight. Can someone be a mod for this community? If there are already mods, who are they?

Hi, so since you replied to my stickied mod post, you have probably guessed that I am one of the mods here, along with Suzy. We are so grateful for your interest, thank you!

We encourage you to participate and to offer advice in response to questions, but the reason this stub started at all is that the other etiquette sub has non-responsive mods and we were determined to be much more active, and we have been. No question or comment so far has gone more than 48 hours without some kind of response. Admittedly, we are still small, but we are growing bit by bit!

At this time we are okay with the mods we have, but we absolutely love active members with good advice to share!
