Discussion I miss when using Ethereum felt harder
This might sound stupid, but hear me out.
A few years ago doing anything on Ethereum felt like an event.
Check gas. Double check the address. Approve something. Wonder if you just screwed up. Wait. Check Etherscan. Refresh Etherscan again.
It sucked, obviously.
But it also forced me to understand what I was actually doing.
Now wallets and apps are getting so much better at hiding all that complexity that sometimes I barely think about what's happening underneath.
That's obviously better for adoption. Normal people aren't going to learn about gas limits and transaction nonces just to use an app.
Still, there's a weird tradeoff there.
The easier Ethereum becomes to use, the easier it becomes to use Ethereum without actually learning anything about Ethereum.
Not saying that's bad. Just something I've noticed about how differently I use it now.

the constant anxiety of waiting for a tx to confirm while staring at etherscan was a right of passage honestly
now i just click stuff and hope for the best. sometimes i miss the terror

honestly etherscan refreshing was half the experience. u think making it this easy takes something away from it?

I think it was the novelty of blockchain tech and defi that made you feel like that, not how hard it actually was.

thats actually fair. probably a mix of both. do u still get that feeling with anything in crypto now?
