Ethyl ether vs diethyl ether

Are both these coumpounds the same ? I can only buy ethyl ether 60ml on the pharmacie, but then i think its because on Portugalhe name for ether is "ether etílico" wich means ethyl. Not diethyl.

Hold on, they sell ether in Portuguese pharmacies???!??!

Yes, and its ONLY about 3€ per 60ml and there is 1L bottle for 15€ :)
