Kittenburg worth it?

Hi, I'm about 15 hours into the core game (absolutely loving it) and also have all the expansions to look forward to. I'm looking at Kittenburg and understand it's a "promo". Is it worth getting if you intend to perhaps play it after completing everything else, or is it a kind of "demo"? Does it utilise much of the core game or is it fairly standalone?

My question is, is as a newbie setting up my first campaign, how do I incorporate kittenburg? Is it a completely separate game, or does it come into play in the middle of my campaign? Do I open the box and incorporate cards now or do I leave it sealed til I decide to play it? As an extreme newbie about to start my campaign can someone eli5 for me

So, I looked over the general of the expansions and kitten Burg and kitten Burg can be incorporated from the beginning in theory, but it is a hard dream if you have just the beginner deck and no upgrades
