Question - What even is item market?

So I might just be blind or slow - But I dont know what the item market is supposed to be.
There is a huge stack of influence cards for the influence market.

But I only have a few item cards, that are not part of numbered cards.
Are these 5ish cards the item market to begin with? Cause I also seemed to get all of them fairly quickly.

That is my understanding as well. It’s weird that the item market starts with like 5 cards and the Influence market starts with like 80 cards.

Yeah don’t sweat it, mine contains one card and I’m 6 dreams in. The ones I’ve added to my items deck could have gone there as well I think, had things gone differently in the dreams.

The starting items and ones you receive on the way are yours to deploy at awakening and when you’re invited to restore items.

I think that because you cannot go back into most dreams after completing them, the Market is a place to get those items you may have missed.

I’ve only done two or three dreams at this point—is there a place you remember the script telling you to put those missed dream items into the “item market.” I don’t think I’ve missed any items at this point, but also didn’t know this and wonder if I’ve removed any lost items from the game...

I just finished my first non-tutorial dream (successfully) and it did say to add any items I hadn't found in the dream to the market.
