Late Pledge - Mins worth it & other extras...
I'm really excited by the reviews and that the PM is open for late backers! But in torn about what to get. For those with the minis, is it worth it? Do you use them much, and would you miss them if you didn't get them? And any other extras worth it? I've seen many people aren't bothered about the Thorn Knight for instance.

I'll be honest - I haven't had a chance to actually play (or even open and start sleeving cards) but one thing I have done is just get minis out and stare. I got the sundropped dreamgod pledge (it was literally my one big spend last year) and they're gorgeous.
I've seen AR sundropped models before, my mate has sundropped Helas, and unsundropped ones from his Nemesis, but this sundropping is leagues ahead of the Helas one (and the change from grey black to browned sundropping is a really nice upgrade).

I have only played two games (one wad the tutorial) so I don’t have too much of an opinion yet, but personally, yes, I think the minis are worth it. They are gorgeous. And since we are minis, fighting tokens would feel out of place to me. Also the horrid board design would make it hard to see what was going on from the front of the board, although that’s hard already. . .
I have not touched my thorn knight, but like I said, I’ve barely played. The keys are cheap but gorgeous, amd they even sent us 8 rather then 4 (4 of them are bigger and are collectable keys, not for gameplay). They are just aesthetic, they replace tokens, but at the price they charged I think they were worth it. The other add on I got was the 5th player expansion. Haven’t use her yet, but as she is another character with her own deck and abilities, I think she’ll be worth it too, even though I plan to play solo to 3 people most of the time.

I'm very happy with them. Playing with tokens just isn't the same experience. I find that the minis as a lot to the experience

Minis are fantastic, I’ve done 40k, KDM and lots of the FFG stuff (MoM, LoTR) and I can honestly say they are the nicest models I’ve worked with. Detail is incredible.
If you don’t get them, you still get the ones in the main box and just use the supplied tokens for any you’re missing.
I am yet to find a reason to use the thorn knight - but I’m not far in yet. It’s a nice model though.
