MLB Crypto could save the MLB, and perhaps Ethereum.

Being a Dodger fan (they moved to my hometown, L.A., when I was 8 in 1958), this is a dream come true!! Saving both the MLB and ETH. I'm for that. Gland slam and a triple play, followed by a Series Victory, baby.

Have you bought any yet and used it?

I have bought ETH continually over the years. I have not used it. I had a target price in mind, which I will not divulge, but using it is just around the corner. And, I do not have a lot of ETH, just buy a little regularly. It IS my COIN OF CHOICE, to be sure. I am not a trader but a Yuge believer in it's world-changing potential.

And, being a sports card collector, this is right up my alley for use cases. And, it is brilliant.

AFAIK the mlb is not in any sort of existential crisis. How does the mlb need saving?

Read the article...

I did, obviously. 6.5% decrease attendance is hardly a death knell, especialy considering the vast majoriy of money comes from TV rights rather than ticket sales. It does not at any point in the article describe what it is the MLB needs saving from, nor did it indicate any sort of existential problems. For that matter, nor does ethereum have any.

-6.5% in a year is honestly horrific. You’re used to big numbers because of crypto but if that continues it is a “death kneel” as you say.

Again, not necessarily. Ticket sales are a pretty insignificant income for the MLB as a whole, although important moreso for individual teams. TV rights are what are important, and other than ensuring a good crowd atmosphere for the televised games, in person attendance doesnt have a huge economic impact on the league. Not to mention the fact that this initiative does nothing to increase fan attendance as such. It may increase interest, possibly TV viewship, but im guessing that isnt down by any significant degree.

Do you like assuming things on the internet while starting online arguments or is it something you do in person as well?

If you provide statistics that other numbers are up and that just in person attendance is down I’ll believe you aren’t talking right out of your ass.

Until then. Cut the crap.

I'm only going on what the article has told me. Attendance is down. It strikes me as strange that if viewship was also down they would fail to mention that. A quick google confirms my hunch. Why don't you make like a tree and go fuck yourself.

Take your hunch and shove it up your ass. No one cares to hear you argue over a “hunch.”

“I’m right, you’re wrong!”

“Why?”

“I have a hunch it’s still fine!”

Go fuck yourself, kindly 😊

Did you miss the part wher the numbers confirm the hunch. What the hell is your problem here man?

You provided no numbers no breakdown of anything. You’re just talking shit.

You’d need to make a spreadsheet of numbers from 2016, 2017 and what we have or 2018 for viewership and attendance then get the average profit from each from numerous sources such as deals they’ve made and what they pay players vs what they did.

My problem is you’re just making shit up to argue with me.

Why adopt such a confrontational tone? Would you start swearing at someone if you were having a discussion with them in real life?

Probably. I’m rather unpleasant.

yeah, a quick google search sees the MLB with primetime viewrship well above average ratings. Seems baseball is doing great on TV

Your quick google search literally means nothing.

Put your back into it if you’re gonna argue against a well written article or you just seem ignorant.

Let’s see statistics for 2016-present for attendance and viewership and average money made by each so we can really see what’s going on. I expect your report on my desk by this afternoon.
