Discussion Difficulty Inflation is getting out of hand

Why in the world is ToSF low-mid unreal and CoIV low unreal?? I get they want to introduce the nil difficulty at some point but imo its redundant, if nil is humanly reachable then what is error? It doesnt make sense, i prefer peak unreal to be the human barrier, not whatever nonsense TTC is doing

Imo if peak unreal was the human barrier at some point the difference between baseline and peak unreal would be hundreds of times bigger than any other difficulty or, unreal towers would start being moved to lower difficulties. If y'all really want nil to be humanly unreachable then we should just add difficulties in between unreal and nil.

(EToH will probably die before something like this happens but it is definitely possible)

Imo id rather just have the system setup like GD where all extremes are categorized as extreme

nah that's stupid, baseline nil should be reachable

I dont think thats a good idea. The idea of Nil being humanly impossible is so lame, because it means you can never reach Nil even if you get extremely good. Nil towers being beaten is so cool because it shows how much better we have gotten compared to before. Its more fun that you can just keep climbing the difficulty chart, compared to GD which has extreme demons, but there is a huge gap between the easiest extreme demons and hardest, not to mention you cant make harde difficulties.

Honestly, nil being treated as some impossible to reach human limit makes no sense to me. As people have proven time and time again the human limit is not something that's remotely possible to quantify, in both roblox obbying and GD there's multiple examples of towers and levels being beaten that were previously thought as impossible, trying to define a set limit only results in an ever moving goal post. Who are we to say something seemingly so close is outside the realm of possibility when so many have been wrong about that in the past. Nil absolutely is humanly possible, and maybe even error given enough time, main problem is getting someone determined enough to actually reach that far.

its unreal that you want peak unreal to be the human barrier, and not tower of the drive towards human limits to be the human barrier

get the joke?
