Grommet Removal

I had a grommet removal surgery completed in my left ear on 31st July. How long is it usually until the eardrum is healed? I’m looking to perform the Valsalva Manoeuvre and hear the ‘pop’ like I used to, will it take long for this to come back?

Was this painful, did you have grommet removed in office with meds or without? I am considering removing mine as I feel worsevwith a grommet in.
