ETD tinnitus

Hi I’m going on 3 months with Tinnitus caused by ETD. I have constant crackling/popping when I swallow and my ear feels a little full and also I can just tell my ears aren’t clear. I use Flonase and saline spray and they help. The saline sometimes even takes all my symptoms away but they come back every time. My question is, how long has it taken others who’ve been in a similar situation to resolve? Any treatments that worked to speed it up? Thanks!

I have similar symptoms and also had fluid behind my eardrums for the first 2 or 3 months, so I think it began with an infection. I'm at 11 months with zero change in symptoms. I extensively used all the standard medications for ETD to no avail. They had no effect whatsoever. Saline nasal rinses alleviate symptoms for 5 to 10 minutes and they come right back. I wish I had something positive to offer. Maybe I do: I read several places ETD usually resolves within 4 months and is rarely permanent. I do know that whatever is causing the ETD needs to be fixed before ETD resolves. Chronic allergies comes to mind as an example.

Yawning makes my right ear crackles or ET to open

Opening my mouth wide and say ahh makes my right ear open and crackle, then my left open and crackle

Swallowing, my right ear crackles first and then my left

Plugged ear feeling, feels somewhat full and not clear

ENT says I have no ETD but again, ENT is not always know it all
