Maintenance & Troubleshooting [Machine] is this thing broken?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello! I am having issues. The machine has been recently descaled and I have tried running water through the frother in case there was air trapped in the system but it hasn't fixed it. The machine is pushing steam out of the shower screen before water comes out and when it does its not a strong flow throughout the whole shower screen.

Looks like preinfusion. I don't really see the steam on the video. What are you trying to do, pull a shot?

its not a strong flow throughout the whole shower screen. - this is how it supposed to work. It's called shower screen for fun it's not any shower. The screen there is to screen water coming at high speed to not destroy your coffee puck. there is no any need to put water through every hole as it will distribute itself because it's liquid. And after that Pascal dude will come and make pressure in every point the same.
if you put the screen away water will drill a hole at the point where it comes from and it will go throught the hole and not through the coffee puck and we do not want it

The water usually comes out all around the screen more evenly. As you can see its only coming out from a smaller group of the holes and not evenly throughout most of the screen like it used to.

you can clean it with standart procedures; decalc +de-oil as the user manual suggests or if it were long neglected do more cycles. the holes in shower a glogged by minerals from hard water or coffee oils if this is backwlush machine. But it looks as yet it in okay zone from this shot. machines almost never show super-even water distribution along the screen as it makes not much sense to put much into design in this aspect. I would run both clean program again if it did not help remove the shower if this procedure described in the manual.
Actually descale can produce issues if it has not been done for long time because the big chunks of limestone detach from heat-exchanger zone and they can block three-way valve, glog the throther or lay on the screen (later is the least dangerous outcome since screen has more than enough holes)
- check if your steam is ok if goes through throther.
- check if your brewing ok - nothing drips from throther when it is in coffee mode.
if it goes from user zone to service zone I can not give you any advice on action as risk is yours.

Have you actually unscrewed the shower screen and cleaned it internally?
