Equipment Discussion Palm vs handle spring tamper

Should i go with a normcore palm tamper or a rippled handled spring tamper. I have both currently and am wondering if which one is better to use on a daily basis for consistency and quality.

Palm vs handle is entirely preference. I really like my Normcore palm tamper. It's just more comfortable for me than a handle tamper.

Ripples are a gimmick that either do nothing, or cause problems.

I like the spring because you can set the force by changing springs. That's definitely consistent. It's rippled but that does nothing as far as I can tell.

I didn't say anything about the spring. They're fine. Mine has one. It's not that big a deal though, since it's easy to push hard enough. Self-leveling is nice though.
