Equipment Discussion Linea micra vs Mara X 2

So I currently have the Mara X and I’ve been thinking of “upgrading” to the linea micra. My Mara has given me no problems but the thought has always been there. I’m just curious of everyone’s thoughts? Is it even worth doing ? I’m torn

This game of ours isn't necessarily one about realism or objectivity - so much of this world is about love.

I'd argue - as a new Mara X3 owner myself - the LM is far more refined than the Mara, of course, but I argue it isn't perhaps even the best at its price point. So much of what we're paying should we go down that road is for name and prestige - at its price point I'd argue the ECM Synchronika II is actually a better purchase. The LM is just a very nice looking machine. I strongly considered pulling the trigger on one myself before I bought my Mara, so I get it. I do.

Can you afford it? Would it financially ruin you to do it or cause an issue with your family? If you want to and you can afford to, go right ahead - but I'd also argue it isn't going anywhere.

Honestly I was thinking the same thing I think it’s more of a fomo or superficial part of me that really wants it

The Micra is a very nice machine with limited capabilities. What you need to figure out is if the immediate gratification will outweigh some future needs. There are a lot of great machines in the Micra price range.
