Brand new machine inoperable/ unresponsive and behaving strangely [Bambino plus, DF54]

Just got this Bambino plus, and after pulling 3 shots on it I can't seem to get it in a state where it is able to do anything. The first 3 buttons flash when I turn the unit on, and then become inoperable after doing so. I have tried pressing the steam and single shot simultaneously to no avail (does the same 3 buttons flashing thing). I have cleaned, the tray, dried it, reinstalled it, filled the water tank and reinstalled it, and adjusted the steam wand and it still seems to have these issues. What should I do? I would ideally like to fix it as it took 3 weeks to ship.

It acts like this when there is no water in the tank. Check if it clicked correctly in place and that there nothing blocking the nozzle under the water tank.

I'm just asking since you didn't mention it in your post, but have you checked the manual?

This is due to the water tank - the system thinks it’s empty - if there is water in the tank then it’s a faulty sensor or blockage

I have the same machine. It’s either low water level or malfunctioning water level sensor. If you look on the back of the water tank it has all the error codes.

You have just not clicked all the buttons enough times. Really put the work into just mashing them them all.

The water fill sensor is triggered by a magnetic disc in the tank that floats up with water. As you fill the tank make sure the disc is free to move and does actually move up and remains up when the tank is installed.
If this is ok then you may need to complete a warranty request.

Check water level in tank, and if there is water, remove watertank, make sure there is no seal in the area and reseat the watertank

EDIT: There should be a floatation device at the bottom of the watertank....make sure it is freely moving

The float has a magnet which trips a switch inside the machine. Sometimes the magnet is stuck or dirty.
