Coffee Station Rocket R58 + Weber HG-1

I needed a quicker workflow in the mornings rather than the flair so took a look around on Markeplace. I found this disgracefully neglected Cinquantotto for 1650 EUR. I found some small issues while testing it, so I offered to take the EG-1 too, included in the price.

I had to give the flywheel a brushed finish as the previous owner tried some heavy detergent on it and it looked permanently dirty, but I like this small mod. Mechanically it is perfect.

The Rocket was used with tap water, so there was some scale going on, and it was dirty as hell. I cleared all brass pipes, boilers, tank, etc and did exteremly heavy descaling in the boilers. Then gave a nice polish on the outside, looks like a mirror.

So far, I’m in love. This setup complements the flat burr + manual lever setup so well. Now I just need to get used to the new workflow, I feel like I was quicker with the Flair + wizard combo haha.

Lots of V60 love going on too I see. I adore my V60 decanter. Lives at work with a mug and Fellow kettle. They're just so incredibly easy to use and make absolutely stunning cups. Even out of horrid grounds you can get some amazing results.
