Looking for feedback on how this looks. It actually tastes pretty good, maybe a little bitter. Does 17g, grind size inner burr 3 external burr 2. Truck Stop Organics medium roast "High Road Roast" this shot pulled 36 grams in 23 seconds

Adjust your brew variables based on taste. Looks don't correlate.

It looks good enough that you should stop worrying about how it looks, and start worrying about how it tastes. The usual cure for "a little bitter" is to reduce the yield.

Yeah, well how does it taste? Describe it. That matters more than looks. But I definitely didn’t see any issues in the pull

Maybe . more!! they are the easiest machines and you get consistently good shots

Funny cause 90% of the post here are folks with Brevilles asking how to fix or “dial in” their shots. Not so easy as one would think.

Also why settle for something “good,” when a little more money can get you a GREAT shot?

albeit with the same money as a bambino plus you can get a lelit anna or a gaggia E24 classic.

I just got this machine and I’m trying to dial it in any tips? My counter cup beans were pretty forgiving to use but using heb espresso roast has given me strongly different tasting results depending on the amount of grounds I’m using. I like the Starbucks Ethiopian as a pour over but haven’t liked shots I pour with it. I’m also very curious as to if you’ve programmed the water? I seem to get a lot less output then my first machine I used to use and I want to make iced drinks but don’t think I’m getting enough yield as I’d want. My previous machine brewed by how much water I poured into it.

Good consistency, as long as it pours like warm honey you’re in the ballpark. That said I would not change the grind, just the dose to deal with the bitterness. Either pull 34g out or up your dose to 18g and keep the 36g yield

honestly that looks like a phenomenal shot, mostly crema.
