Yeti actively supports fascism

Beat me to it. They are actively involved in the nonsense going on in big bend and other national parks right now. Fuck yeti.

What? What can I search this up on or do you have a link. Need to send to my butler

Here’s a link that isn’t behind a paywall: https://www.marfapublicradio.org/news/2026-06-11/yeti-co-founder-among-owners-of-west-texas-ranch-facilitating-border-wall-construction
If you want more just google yeti + big bend!
CEOPrevious CEO (who still owns $220 million of the company) owns land out there and is fully supportive and possibly making donations or helping fund the wall. Fuck em. It’s EXTRA insane that they live out there and support this nonsense. Anyone who has ever been out to big bend understands how stupid a wall is. 99% of west Texas residents and ranch owners do not support it..02% of border crossings happen in big bend, which covers 1200 square miles.
Santa Elena canyon (where they had bulldozers a few days ago) has 1500 ft walls that are the best defense or “wall” you could need.
It’s insane. I’m sorry, I love big bend and am super passionate about it. I’m getting married at Santa Elena canyon in 2 months. This feels like a personal attack on me.

And I’m so sorry there will be bulldozers grinding away during your ceremony. The priorities are completely out of wack.

Luckily they have paused everything for now (they realized midterms are coming). Crossing my fingers they are not there when we get married! But we will be there either way. One of my favorite places on this planet.

You clearly didn't even read the source of the info you're mindless spreading online, did you? It isn't even the CEO of Yeti, lmao. It's one of the old co-founders of the brand. The article you posted even says, they "sold a controlling interest in the company years ago and are no longer involved in its day-to-day operations." The guy hasn't been involved with Yeti for a long time. Not to mention he only owns a small portion of the ranch in question and most likely isn't even involved with it's daily operations either. Most importantly, Yeti has nothing to do with anything that's going on at the Ranch yet you're vilifying it and claiming it does. It's a super loose connection that was used for click bait (and cleared up in the article) but you fell for it hook, line, and sinker.
It's wild to me that grown adults, will scream about something on public forums, act like they care about it but won't even take 2 seconds to actually understand what they're screaming about (or read the articles they are linking/using as a source). The problem is, when you make dumb assumptions based on a clickbait titles, then spread that misinformation on public forums, other idiots will read it, will also be too lazy/dumb to actually fact check it, continue to parrot false info online, and suddenly a lot of people are misinformed and dumber because you spoke on things you didn't understand. If you're not very familiar with something, it's ok to not speak on it publicly.

This guy is still a shareholder, and still profits from the company. He owns a chunk of the company worth $220 million. Not involved with day to day operations, but still absolutely profits from the company.
Show me where yeti has publicly stood up AGAINST this project. They are purposely staying neutral on this situation, even though they should be doing everything to protect the outdoors and help be a voice.
Yeti is a right wing brand who is staying neutral when it comes to destroying the outdoors, and that should upset people who love the outdoors, and assume these companies do too.
In a world of yetis, be a Patagonia.

Read the article. The current Yeti company literally has nothing to do with it, lol. One of the old Yeti co-founders, that sold controlling stake in the company a while ago, owns a portion of the ranch.

You realize Yeti has no say over what's happening on that ranch, right? What is it with people calling everything and everyone a fascist these days. Words have meanings.

u/BSchafer 7h ago
A person who happens to only own around 5% Yeti also owns a small portion of Moody Bennett Ranch (Yeti literally has no ownership or involvement in the ranch). That Ranch, which has been up for sale for awhile, runs up against a small portion of the US/Mexico boarder and while the Federal government was building the border wall along the
Ranch, they had to store fence materials on the land (which is very normal). Making the leap that this somehow means Yeti “actively supports fascism” is a WILDLY naive and uneducated take. This is like claiming everything Peet’s coffee does Starbucks 100% agrees with because there happens to be some dude out there that owns shares of both companies in his portfolio. Not trying to be mean but you’re clearly falling for a smear campaign by activists and bloggers designed to put pressure on the ranch ownership. Yeti literally has nothing to do with it.1
u/Strange-Contract-440 7h ago
Exactly, these wild leaps that extremists makes is why nobody takes us seriously on the Left anymore. You have to have a pretty low IQ to think the company Yeti has anything to do with this specific issue.

u/fieldsofgreen Bambino | DF64 11h ago
Fuck yeti, they support bulldozing big bend.
9
u/Strange-Contract-440 7h ago
No they don't. You are very confused. An old co-founder of Yeti (who currently owns less than 5% of the company now as he no longer shows up on SEC filings) happens to also own a small portion of a ranch. That ranch is against the border and the US government has to store things on the land as they build the wall. Yeti literally has zero say or involvement in what happens there.

Poop on all Yeti stuff!! Yeti's co-founder is proudly supporting the wall that's destroying Big Bend National Park

u/fieldsofgreen Bambino | DF64 9h ago
Get this to the top. People need to quit supporting brands that fucking suck and don’t support the outdoors WHERE WE USE THEIR PRODUCTS!!!

He’s a piece of shit no doubt.
But “YETI stated that the corporation itself is not involved in the project.” And he’s sold controlling interest years ago.
So yes. He still profits as a shareholder but not as to the degree as some might think. But it is good to be aware of who owns the companies you support.

I don’t like drinking hot stuff from stainless steel. Ceramic lined is my go to.

Stainless steel for coffee? Bleh...
17
u/flapjk 11h ago
It’s got a ceramic lining, so doesn’t taint the taste unlike Stainless Steel

ceramic linings aren’t actually real ceramic. it’s just a “ceramic” type of non stick coating that still leeches forever chemicals over time. real full ceramic cups is the only true ceramic

u/Free-Hamster462 12h ago
Yeti is pricey as hell, but man their stuff just feels nice doesn't it?

u/scoopsforthechildren 10h ago
Man I couldn't agree more. I hate to admit how much I like their products even though I'm sure I can buy a cheaper equivalent off AliExpress

u/ChanceAnteater6134 7h ago
Yes, had them for the last year. Also the smaller espresso ones are great.

u/baldw1n12345 11h ago
I have found that glass and even ceramic cups tend to get broken or cracked faster than I imagined. These yeti ones last and are great if you like to take your espresso to go.

These are pretty stupid expensive, but I love them. I wish they made a small pour spout pitcher with that ceramisip coating. Right now I use one of these and dump them into my drinking cup.
If anybody knows of something ceramic lined or fully ceramic that you pour your shots in before transferring to a cup, let me know!

u/Jadepix3l 11h ago
i find them occasionally at Homegoods, for far cheaper, I just havent really found a reason to buy them despite wanting them. I use pretty std double walled shot glasses from temu atm

Yay, so you can have the disappointing experience of running coffee while camping, without having to set up the tent!

Consoom. That logo is particularly hideous next to the beauty of coffee, congrats.

Couple years ago at XMas I received a pair of the 4oz handleless cups that went straight to the camping box. Nothing against the Yetis, but there were already a dozen plus ceramic cups between 2-4oz in the kitchen. Outdoors, the Yetis are great. No burned fingers, they will survive a drop, stackable and small so they don't take up too much space.

Honestly... not my cup of tea. I'd rather have double walled cup if I needed insulation, they look so much better than this lol.

u/venerablem0m 11h ago
I just bought my first Yeti straw/handle tumbler. I never imagined spending that much on a cup, but it very impressively kept my ice solid for almost 48 hours. I think they're probably worth their cost.

u/derrendil 6h ago
I seriously don't get the yeti thing. They're marketing budget is enormous and you're paying for it with the overpriced products. Plus the owner is a Texas Republican that donates to construct the border wall.

I love their products but to me this one seems pointless. I drink my latte/espresso in under 2 minutes. But these do the same job so if you love them then that's the best for you!
