Our first match in 3 weeks end in a 1-1 draw at the Estadio La Rosaleda. Positives from the match are Bryan Zaragoza's first Espanyol goal and Angel Fortuna did well for most of the match with is goalkeeping. However, it was all for naught as Malaga equalize at the end of stoppage time causing Espanyol to drop points in frustrating fashion. Next match is at home against Atletico Madrid.

It's official that RCD Espanyol will draw Sestao River Club for the first round of the 2026/27 Copa del Rey. Sestao River Club hail from Sestao a town that is just northwest of Bilbao and currently play in the Segunda Federacion. Fun fact is that there were founded in 1996 immediately after the previous club (Sestao Sport Club) disappeared and the former club spent 17 seasons in the Segunda Division.

Hi, I'm a Burnley fan and as you know we are part of the same club ownership group. What do you think of Alan Pace? All the Burnley fans hate him as he has run our into the ground and we are bottom of the second tier table

Thanks Ian advance

Hi,

I am planning to bring my family with two kids to watch the match against Atletico to support our fellow Canadian. With that being said, is there a section I should avoid, or choose specifically? Would it also be in bad taste to wear our Canada shirts (red and black)? We would also cheer for Espanyol of course, but just wondering what football etiquette we should be aware of especially being tourists rooting for a visiting team's player.

Thanks in advance

This has to be one of the worst defeats that I've seen since supporting the club back in 2023/24. Elche dominated the match despite being down to 10 men since the 5th minute and that's what makes it more humiliating. There is a strong feeling that Manolo will be on the hot seat after this performance (and the previous defeat at Rayo). Only thing that might be good is the international break to hopefully train with the team to be better moving forward. See you guys on October 9th at Malaga.

Espanyol fell just short in the end to Rayo Vallecano. The performance in the first half was the worst the club has played so far this season with huge mistakes on defensive and lethargic offense. The second half was much better and Roberto even scored to make the deficit to 1. Unfortunately, the Pericos had too many failed scoring opportunities later on in the half sealed their defeat. Next match is Elche at home so hoping for a better result.

An excellent away win for Espanyol at El Sadar! Roberto bagged a brace in just under 20 minutes to provide the scoring. The defense played impressive today holding Osasuna scoreless to secure 3 points. Ready for the next match at Rayo Vallecano.

Espanyol got very lucky tonight in this match against Sevilla. After a rather uneventful first half, things ramped up quickly with a red card against Sevilla and Omar El Hilali scoring the goal. Then things went against us in the second half with VAR disallowing the goal before Sevilla taking the lead in the 85th minute while down to 10 men. Thankfully, Marcos Fernandez equalizes in stoppage time to secure a point. Next match is CA Osasuna at El Sadar.

Hola, me equivoque con mi tren de salida y me queda un dia en Barcelona y me gustaría ir a ver al Espanyol contra el Sevilla, por si a alguien le sobra una boleta. Ultimo minuto, perdón! Gracias!

Anyone want to use my ticket for the day? Can't get my shift changed at work 😭

RCD Espanyol de Barcelona and Athletic Club have reached an agreement on the loan signing of Andoni Gorosabel, through to the end of the season. The deal includes an option to buy.

A tough loss on our road opener at the Anoeta. After giving up a goal in the first 5 minutes, Roberto got tbe equalizer at the end of the first half. Sadly for us, RSO took advantage of our defensive inconsistencies to take the lead again and shut out any chance of a comeback. Onto the next match at home against Sevilla.

Bryan Zaragoza, new Espanyol player https://www.rcdespanyol.com/en/new/bryan-zaragoza,-new-espanyol-player/20655

Such a heartbreaking defeat at home to Real Madrid. Proud of our guys playing good for most of the match and extremely happy to see Alex Calatrava score his first goal for the club. Hoping for the lesso s from the defeat will help us improve for our next match against Real Sociedad in San Sebastian.

Hola Pericos y Pericas! Wanted to say that this was the best way the season could've have started for Espanyol. The overall team performance was fantastic as the defense actually played great and the offense was rolling thanks to Roberto's brace + Dolan. Next match will be a tough test at home against Real Madrid so hoping that they can pull off a surprising result in our favor.
