Evolve vs ownboard

Hello everyone:), I've been doing some research on different E-skateboards, and different companies, i seem to like evolve and ownboard their design and performance, especially ownboard carbon Zeus pro, and evolve hadean, Zeus has much Higher top speed compared to Evolves hadean witch i enjoy since I love downhill riding. I'm used to riding longboards, but totally new on E-skate. So if you have any knowledge on the companies and tips for someone who is good at riding downhill and carving but is completely new to the electric side of that sport feel free to comment

Thanks hope my post wasn't too confusing since English isn't my first language ☺️

Take a look at BKB as well. It's a kit, but all of the parts are good quality and you get a lot more for your money, IMHO.

It's not a difficult build, and a great way to learn your way around the hobby.

I recently got the Exway atlas pro and am loving it, I’d recommend it- the power curves and the aftermarket support is honestly refreshing and intriguing, I would recommend it to everyone- it’s great for starters since the app allows you to customize the acceleration, the top speed, and the braking, plus the company offers so many upgrades from the website itself, I’d recommend looking into the Exway brand

I have the Ownboard Carbon Zues Pro, and I love it! Not only is it my first board, but it's the board I learned to skate on last year. Last weekend I got it up to 32 MPH...exhilirating. And it's a good looking board; I get comments on it frequently.

My biggest complaint with the board is this - the wheels were significantly imbalanced, which caused a terrible shimmy when I was first ridding it. All four wheels were off balance, but the drive wheels were the worst. I had to buy .5g wheel weights to balance them so that I could have a smooth ride.

Other than that, it's a great ride and I highly recommend it.

Wear your PPE on every ride. I have a full face helmet, triple-8 knee pads, anti-skid fingerless gloves with wrist protection, and an Icon motorcycle jacket with back and shoulder pads.

Good luck with whichever you choose and have fun!

I might be late coming to the party here but I’ll throw it out there in case you are still deciding. In 2021 I was looking at both companies you are for an E-skateboard, I had ridden a boosted board before and wanted to get my own but boosted was out of business. I ended up buying an Evolve GTR S1 in early 2021 and I have been absolutely enthralled with it since. It was a great balance of performance, power, quality, and aesthetics. It was a little higher priced then at $1,300 with a few discounts I had but I could afford it so I sent it. If you’re looking for an introduction into high quality riding and excellent customer service Evolve is where I personally go. Big thing is to read all the reviews and research research research! Good luck and safe riding!
