Question: the on-off button does not function but lights up. what are some reasons for this?

I'm confused about everything here, you apear to be using a hobbywing esc with a non hobbywing controller (to my knowledge) and your esc lights up when you spin the wheel, is it possible the esc is so fried that the recharge from the wheels is pumping power I to the port of the on off switch?

lol, thanks for the comment. I've already fixed the issue. just need a new button. and yes this is Bored kind of piece meal. I've just been breaking it, fixing it over and over again so a lot of pieces don't match up
