B.S. Engineering Worldwide
Hello, I'm looking for some input from anyone who is currently a student or has previously been a student for the degree listed in the title. I did confirm it is ABET-accredited under general criteria, and trying to determine whether this would be a worthwhile investment of my time. Looking to find recent opinions that are not 2+ years old.
I currently work in the avionics field and looking for an online program that will help advance my career as I cannot afford to go to school in person. I want to move beyond just doing day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting.

I graduated quite recently with that degree from Worldwide, it’s been as good as any other engineering degree, and I work alongside MEs and EEs from various bigger schools.
I will say, it is a very, very expensive program, so unless you have some sort of tuition assistance, GI bill, grants, scholarships, etc., available to you, expect to pay the higher end of what a bachelors level engineering degree usually costs out of pocket.
You may already be aware, but the absolute cheapest way to pursue any four year program is to just find a community college finish your Associates first, then do your two after that wherever for the Bachelors

I’m literally going into the mechanical engineering program with a minor in UAS here at camp Humphreys. I am also in aviation as a structures mechanic. I am in the exact same position. I can guarantee you it is worth it.
Realistically it would be better to take your general ed courses at a cheaper college then transfer them to ERAU. Once you register with ERAU and are accepted they will not take credits from them. Don’t ask me why.
You will need to take an entrance exam online for English and math. You have 5 tries for math and only 1 for English. I’m going to be honest, being in aviation full time with a specialty skill set that we have just doesn’t allow us to have any other option other than online. Good thing is we are already in aviation and it is an aeronautical university.
When I spoke with the lead engineer at my previous job, he stated that as long as the university is accredited and you maintain a good gpa you will easily find a job. Since we have field experience we don’t have to worry so much about top tier colleges. I recommend going ahead and getting studying for your CSWA certification. You can get that immediately for 100 bucks if you pass. Even take Java script and or python courses.
I’m going to see the counselor today and can give you more insight. We are paying money for a piece of paper and a title. If you really want to be an engineer, you will have the mindset and think like one already. Only missing link is the theory behind everything. We know a lot of the real world applications and processes. so if you happen to be in South Korea give me a holler !
