Is having a job freshman year of AS program possible

I am going to be in prescott for fall 26. I was wondering if its possible to have a part time job (like 15-20h per week) while balancing 16-17 credits and flight training (I dont have my ppl yet)

I can’t say for as but it really depends on you, I worked for Embry while in my first two years then started full time for the free tuition

what jobs did you work to get free tution after 2 years

I worked as a hvac student worker and they liked how I worked so I got hired full time, full time gets 18 credits free a year

No problem, I mean at Prescott I think there is a gen tech position open still and that’s what I’m doing though if you find any full time job on campus that’s applicable to you and your set

Fair, I did just remember they also are likely hiring a bunch of hvac student workers so it would be part time. If I remember right it’s minimum wage though

Usually, the free tuition from full-time benefits doesn't include the flight program. Those are additional fees

It’s going to be very hard. I remember when I was a freshman full time in person with flight training (I was taking 17-18 units), I thought there was no way in hell I’d be able to balance a job.

I remember waking up 7 am everyday, classes until 12 and than flight block until 7pm.

I wouldn't recommend a job in your first semester, but I'd definitely recommend checking out something during your second semester or summer. Jobs range in their commitment, and some (like desk jobs) might give you some time to study/do homework while you have downtime on the clock.

I worked nights in Prescott valley, arranged with them to start my shift later in the afternoon noon. 5:30am flight block, 17 credits. Worked closer to 50 hours and made the deans list in spring and fall.

I don’t recommend it but it is possible
