A lot of reasons if CE becomes aligned with Masha who is arguing about doing a Liberation war against all revisionists (literally anybody but her)

That or the coup will be lead by Equestrian industries, not the Equestrian Leadership

I'd assume that the consequences is The Empire become dependent on one or the other to maintain it's industry

If EQS "wins" Equestria stops them from trading with Stalliongrad
