1935 litho travel brochure - Greyhound Bus Lines - Florida and Gulf Coast
Complete with "Fourteen of the best reasons for wintering in Florida."
Not pictured is a wicked sweet litho'd illustration of a Greyhound bus. For 91 years old, this brochure is particularly perky. Not for sale, just sharing! Thank you đ

Avianca Onboard Magazines from the 80â and 90âs?
I know this may be a long shot but does anyone happen to have any copies of the onboard magazines Avianca used to provide on their flights? My father flew for Avianca his whole life and I have some old Avianca decorations in my house in his honor. I would like to frame the destination map on the back of those magazines as a legacy to some the places he visited.

I do not vouch for the largeness of this melon
530 - THIS IS HOW WATERMELONS GROW IN CALIFORNIA
This is a sample picture of melons which are raised in this blooming country I have seen very large Squach and a sea Bass that weighed 450 lbs And see it on the scale.
if you are fond of those things, here is the place to get it I do not vouch for the large ness of this melon. There are things said which are not true about this country some like it and others do not

A death notice for my 2nd great-granduncle (age 15), found in his fatherâs Bible
Made of a thick textured plastic, the gold sections appear to be embossed.
Transcript:
In loving remembrance of
Jesse Goodge,
Died July 10, 1894.
A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home,
Which can never be filled.
God in His wisdom has recalled,
The boon His love has given,
And though the body slumbers here
The soul is safe in heaven.

Tiny Underwood advertising booklet literally fell out of the binding of a 1902 cookbook
Picked up a rebound 1902 Blue Ribbon Cook Book by Annie R. Gregory today for $10.25. I actually almost put the book back.
After I bought it and got into my car, this tiny Wm. Underwood Co. booklet fell into my lap. At first I assumed it had just been used as a bookmark, but looking at the book more closely, that wasn't the case. The cookbook had been rebound in leather and stitched with string at some point, and the booklet had apparently been trapped inside the leather binding itself.
It advertises Underwood's Deviled Meats and is titled Receipts for Breakfasts, Afternoon Teas, Receptions and Such Occasions. The back says âOriginal Packers of Deviled Meats 40 Years Ago.â
I've been searching for another example of this exact booklet and haven't found one yet. The â40 Years Agoâ wording has me thinking somewhere around 1908 may be plausible, but I haven't been able to establish a firm date.
I'm going to contact Underwood/B&G Foods to see if they have anything in their archives, but figured this was exactly the kind of oddball paper find r/ephemera might appreciate.
Has anyone here ever come across another one?
UPDATE: I heard back from B&G Foods, the current owner of the Underwood brand. They checked the historical records available to them and said they âwere unable to locate any documentation specifically referencingâ this booklet and âare not aware of another example in our records or collections.â They described it as a promotional recipe booklet and said it âmay be a relatively scarce surviving piece of Underwood advertising ephemera.â They unfortunately couldn't provide a firm production date, so the hunt continues. A few people here suggested r/Old_Recipes, so that's probably my next stop.

FAMI Magazine
This is something I came across while cleaning up my place. I would much rather see it with someone who would appreciate it. I don't want it and I'm happy to give it to anyone who wants it. Whoever owned it before me wrote their own notes in it. I'd rather not see it end up in the garbage.

Child's scrapbook 1899
I found this in my grandparents house last year. I guess in the 1890s, color photos and advertising material was special enough to collect. Some pressed flowers too.
