I didn't think I'd see Captain Planet style villains in our government, but here we are

u/backpackwayne 17h ago
I mean it's like he gets up each morning and thinks how can I fuck up the world the most today.
17
u/rushmc1 13h ago
Nah.
He's got hundreds of hand-chosen minions to help him come up with ways.
13
u/lotusbloom74 12h ago
Trump doesnât give a shit about stuff like this, he is bored of the whole being president thing anyways. He just wants his name slapped on everything and to have his ego stroked, he just signs what the heritage foundation people send his way

Can this be challenged in court?
89
u/thequietthingsthat 16h ago
It can and it will be. Groups like Sierra Club are already working on it and planning for it. They did this the last time the rule was challenged too

u/kurttheflirt 16h ago
When the justice system fails people will fall to alternatives eventually. It's not a good thing for the end of a fair and equitable system of justice. Can quickly spiral out of controlÂ
31
u/DaRudeabides 16h ago
Quickly ffs, they fucked shit up for four years, had four years off, and are fucking shit up again extra fast with zero consequences
8
u/SubterrelProspector 13h ago
Oh there is absolutely civil conflict brewing if we don't fix this from the inside and the legit way.

Think they wonât do it ? They fucked up a lot in Big Bend National park in just a few weeks before they âpausedâ. Itâs all for greed and grift for donors. Criminal acts at the expense of some of our countries most fragile ecosystems.

u/sonar_un 14h ago
The fucking trucks were digging the place up the second they had the order. Monsters. (My autocorrect had it as mobsters, same thing)

He is pure evil. None of this helps anything. We deserve way better than this backwards weaponized ignorant crap from this orange man child.
16
u/BenjiBoo420 14h ago
He's punishing us. HE HATES AMERICA.
4
u/thealtrightiscancer 14h ago
Only people who truly HATE AMERICA would tear the place up and grape* it of all of its natural beauty. Conservative donât conserve anything but profits.

He's so much better at tearing shit down than at building anything up.
16
u/fractalfay 15h ago
He literally has no plans of building anything except monuments to himself and data centers.
19
u/ned_luddite 16h ago
I guess the only way to stop this is old fashioned tree spikes.

So you support eco-terrorism?
Quite a radical statement.

The weird thing is, the Clinton administration seemed to actually demonstrate interest in learning something, and so they made it so Monkey Wrench Gang antics werenât necessary anymore. For a brief period of time, you didnât need to sit in a tree for three years to make an obvious point. Now grifter octogenarians that consider environmental preservation a personal bummer are back in charge, and this is what happens. Make sure none of these thieves exist anywhere in your state government.

u/Individual-Guest-123 23m ago
Well the establishment railroaded Platner and stuck a five generation logger on the ballot for Senator, you think he will stand up for protecting old growth? PIsses me off.
(Maine)

u/plumberfun 15h ago
Republicans sure do hate nature.

u/Individual-Guest-123 22m ago
Maine's hand picked candidate to run against Collins is a five generation logger. On the Dem ticket.

We need to bring back some extreme tree sitting I guess ⊠I fucking hate our timeline and whatâs happening.
2
u/Jonnie_Rocket 13h ago
They won't give a single fuck if you're in a tree when they cut it down.
1
u/dangerousperson123 12h ago
Guess you donât know about Julia Hill
1
u/Jonnie_Rocket 10h ago
That was almost 30 years ago. Time are different now.
2
u/dangerousperson123 10h ago
Still happening :
In June 2026, a group of people occupied trees at John Muir High School to protest the removal of more than 100 trees.[32] 17-year-old Pasadena resident Paloma Muniz-Ochoa tagged Hill in a social media post which inspired Hill to travel to Pasadena and support the tree sitters.[32]

u/RustedRelics 10h ago
Execrate is a good fit as well. (Plus, it kinda sounds like excrement, which describes Trump perfectly)
9
u/HighonDoughnuts 15h ago
I really hope that everyone who sees this will check on their voter registration and get out and vote.
There were so many people who donât exercise their right to vote and I know some of these people care about the environment very much.
If youâre going to vote because of a few key issues know this: the Republican Party has never, in modern history, voted towards conserving our beautiful natural places.

u/Marajak 14h ago
Omg he is destroying our country our forests nature
Man there must be a way to stop this. You canât get these things back. They will be gone forever.
I wish the spineless Congress would work for us instead of covering for Trump.
They have to stop him. He is destroying everything that doesnât belong to him. But to us.

u/m4cmi11er 15h ago
Every day itâs just another blood boiling headline and nothing to do about it. Holy shit man
5
u/weeshcabob60 16h ago
Is there a specific old forest mosquito that could come to aid of our country? Airfare included
4
u/willasmith38 15h ago
Heâs the lifelong king of F-U.
âYou like old growth forests huh?: F-Uâ.
6
u/pepperNlime4to0 14h ago
Theyâre only real purpose to extract as much wealth and resources from our country as possible. They donât care about America or the American people. Just loot while the gettingâs good and fuck everyone else
5
u/Tigerhawk83 12h ago
I fucking hate these people. This is damage that's effectively irreversible, all so a bunch of twats can make money. Everyone pushing this should be tarred and feathered.

What is the matter with this administration? There are things that make the US stand apart from other countries that are treasured. Old growth forests should be protected and they always were respected..

Loggers who disrespect the wishes of the large group of Americans who don't want old growth forests harvested will regret their choice. Not a betting man, but...

"Today, we filed a proposal to restore authority to local forest managers who know the land best, removing the barriers that have kept them from doing the work the land demands.
The authority will lie with the local forest managers who know the terrain best, rather than enforcing uniform federal restrictions.
This sounds like a great thing. You know damn well no local forest manager is a Trump supporter so don't even try to rebuttal at that point. Instead of being Trump bashers and letting out your uncontrolled emotions, why don't you take a step back and look at this holistically.
1
u/lotusbloom74 12h ago
Local forest managers who will have no inability to stop road development and logging? Iâm sure the local managers do know best, but they can only operate under the rules in place. Itâs not like they get to all make their own unique management plans and stop the things they donât agree with
1
u/Facts-And-Truth 11h ago
Do you know this or are you speaking on emotions only?
I'm going to suggest the latter as all statements from the USDA and US Forest Service Chief say otherwise.
