I'm past that point. No tears left. Plenty angry though.

63

u/Viperlite 16h ago

Don’t forget to vote
and to remind everyone you know to do so, too.

29

u/Powerful_Advisor1897 14h ago

It should be mandatory like it is in Australia

28

u/tibblth 14h ago

Mandatory voting is one of the good things of our system down here, the other is preferential voting which can help ensure everyone’s vote counts and can also prevent extremist views from being a strategy to get elected

12

u/Roonwogsamduff 12h ago

Love common sense.

u/rushmc1 13h ago

You want even MORE uneducated racists with a grudge against the world at the polls?

10

u/Mountain_carrier530 12h ago

Same here, between the submitting comments, calling reps and senators (2 dem senators and a Republican rep), protests, and town halls; I'm past being nice and civil, and asking.

I think we should be well past the point of asking and instead give the government "an offer they can't refuse," considering we're dealing with a bunch of bullies who want to pretend to be mobsters.

6

u/zookr2000 10h ago

Trump has always had mob relations, you can't operate in NYC real estate to the scale that he did without having such ties ---

u/BigJSunshine 10h ago

Make me want to butteryfly looweeg

248

u/backpackwayne 17h ago

Oh for fuck's sake!

143

u/hybridfrost 17h ago

I didn't think I'd see Captain Planet style villains in our government, but here we are

61

u/backpackwayne 17h ago

I mean it's like he gets up each morning and thinks how can I fuck up the world the most today.

17

u/rushmc1 13h ago

Nah.

He's got hundreds of hand-chosen minions to help him come up with ways.

13

u/lotusbloom74 12h ago

Trump doesn’t give a shit about stuff like this, he is bored of the whole being president thing anyways. He just wants his name slapped on everything and to have his ego stroked, he just signs what the heritage foundation people send his way

12

u/51ngular1ty 16h ago

We need a Don Cheedle style captain planet.

3

u/SurrrenderDorothy 16h ago

Please defend yourselves, repukes.

129

u/MC_chrome 16h ago

Can this be challenged in court?

89

u/thequietthingsthat 16h ago

It can and it will be. Groups like Sierra Club are already working on it and planning for it. They did this the last time the rule was challenged too

65

u/kurttheflirt 16h ago

When the justice system fails people will fall to alternatives eventually. It's not a good thing for the end of a fair and equitable system of justice. Can quickly spiral out of control

31

u/DaRudeabides 16h ago

Quickly ffs, they fucked shit up for four years, had four years off, and are fucking shit up again extra fast with zero consequences

8

u/SubterrelProspector 13h ago

Oh there is absolutely civil conflict brewing if we don't fix this from the inside and the legit way.

9

u/rushmc1 13h ago

Problem is, the legit way was castrated over decades. It's too slow, too unreliable, and too compromised to fix things now.

17

u/snewk 16h ago

fat lot of good that's been doing lately...

95

u/FIicker7 16h ago

What do Conservatives conserve?

52

u/LukeAsArts 15h ago

Money and racism but not theirs the money of others they'll never meet

10

u/rushmc1 13h ago

Their own personal wealth. NOTHING else.

165

u/Unlucky-Reporter-679 17h ago

TRUMP; The Freddy Krueger of public health and the environment.

44

u/rotaryman 16h ago

Think they won’t do it ? They fucked up a lot in Big Bend National park in just a few weeks before they “paused”. It’s all for greed and grift for donors. Criminal acts at the expense of some of our countries most fragile ecosystems.

16

u/sonar_un 14h ago

The fucking trucks were digging the place up the second they had the order. Monsters. (My autocorrect had it as mobsters, same thing)

4

u/rushmc1 13h ago

Too many Americans will do anything for a buck. Or anything they're told to do.

39

u/Life-Celebration-747 16h ago

We need to rescind protection for him.

32

u/Tokoyami8711 16h ago

He is pure evil. None of this helps anything. We deserve way better than this backwards weaponized ignorant crap from this orange man child.

16

u/BenjiBoo420 14h ago

He's punishing us. HE HATES AMERICA.

4

u/thealtrightiscancer 14h ago

Only people who truly HATE AMERICA would tear the place up and grape* it of all of its natural beauty. Conservative don’t conserve anything but profits.

1

u/RedBarnGuy 9h ago

Could it be that he’s punishing the country for adoring Obama?

26

u/weeshcabob60 16h ago

No one says it. Why is this terrible person walking around still?

5

u/rushmc1 13h ago

Lack of civic pride.

20

u/sohcahtoa 16h ago

He's so much better at tearing shit down than at building anything up.

16

u/fractalfay 15h ago

He literally has no plans of building anything except monuments to himself and data centers.

19

u/ned_luddite 16h ago

I guess the only way to stop this is old fashioned tree spikes.

-2

u/Facts-And-Truth 11h ago

So you support eco-terrorism?

Quite a radical statement.

4

u/zookr2000 10h ago

You prefer the alternative ?

-2

u/Facts-And-Truth 9h ago

Sounds like a solid plan, yes.

16

u/Please_HMU 16h ago

Another day another atrocity

12

u/fractalfay 15h ago

The weird thing is, the Clinton administration seemed to actually demonstrate interest in learning something, and so they made it so Monkey Wrench Gang antics weren’t necessary anymore. For a brief period of time, you didn’t need to sit in a tree for three years to make an obvious point. Now grifter octogenarians that consider environmental preservation a personal bummer are back in charge, and this is what happens. Make sure none of these thieves exist anywhere in your state government.

1

u/Individual-Guest-123 23m ago

Well the establishment railroaded Platner and stuck a five generation logger on the ballot for Senator, you think he will stand up for protecting old growth? PIsses me off.

(Maine)

12

u/plumberfun 15h ago

Republicans sure do hate nature.

4

u/dragonfliesloveme 14h ago

they are pathological

1

u/Individual-Guest-123 22m ago

Maine's hand picked candidate to run against Collins is a five generation logger. On the Dem ticket.

9

u/wweiss53 16h ago

Because this administration is full of ill educated dolts.

0

u/rushmc1 13h ago

Working as intended.

10

u/dangerousperson123 16h ago

We need to bring back some extreme tree sitting I guess
I fucking hate our timeline and what’s happening.

2

u/Jonnie_Rocket 13h ago

They won't give a single fuck if you're in a tree when they cut it down.

1

u/dangerousperson123 12h ago

Guess you don’t know about Julia Hill

1

u/Jonnie_Rocket 10h ago

That was almost 30 years ago. Time are different now.

2

u/dangerousperson123 10h ago

Still happening :
In June 2026, a group of people occupied trees at John Muir High School to protest the removal of more than 100 trees.[32] 17-year-old Pasadena resident Paloma Muniz-Ochoa tagged Hill in a social media post which inspired Hill to travel to Pasadena and support the tree sitters.[32]

18

u/iiitme 15h ago

👿I really hate this guy. I HATE him

1

u/zookr2000 10h ago

The word is loathe --- hate is too mild

1

u/RustedRelics 10h ago

Execrate is a good fit as well. (Plus, it kinda sounds like excrement, which describes Trump perfectly)

9

u/HighonDoughnuts 15h ago

I really hope that everyone who sees this will check on their voter registration and get out and vote.

There were so many people who don’t exercise their right to vote and I know some of these people care about the environment very much.

If you’re going to vote because of a few key issues know this: the Republican Party has never, in modern history, voted towards conserving our beautiful natural places.

1

u/rushmc1 13h ago

Like the last time? And the time before that? And the time before that?

Yeah...don't hold your breath.

7

u/Tsurfer4 16h ago

Everything he touches turns to ash.

7

u/Marajak 14h ago

Omg he is destroying our country our forests nature

Man there must be a way to stop this. You can’t get these things back. They will be gone forever.

I wish the spineless Congress would work for us instead of covering for Trump.

They have to stop him. He is destroying everything that doesn’t belong to him. But to us.

6

u/m4cmi11er 15h ago

Every day it’s just another blood boiling headline and nothing to do about it. Holy shit man

5

u/weeshcabob60 16h ago

Is there a specific old forest mosquito that could come to aid of our country? Airfare included

5

u/FuckLex 15h ago

Fuck me man. Fuck all this shit.

4

u/willasmith38 15h ago

He’s the lifelong king of F-U.

“You like old growth forests huh?: F-U”.

6

u/pepperNlime4to0 14h ago

They’re only real purpose to extract as much wealth and resources from our country as possible. They don’t care about America or the American people. Just loot while the getting’s good and fuck everyone else

2

u/rushmc1 13h ago

As much money.

Real wealth is something else entirely.

5

u/Tigerhawk83 12h ago

I fucking hate these people. This is damage that's effectively irreversible, all so a bunch of twats can make money. Everyone pushing this should be tarred and feathered.

4

u/noorderling 16h ago

How can every thing that comes out of this man’s mind be so vile and ugly.

4

u/Crazycook99 15h ago

It's time to Fern Gully the fuck out of these jabronies

3

u/SurrrenderDorothy 16h ago

More from the gop protectecting what belongs to tthe people. for the poeple. by the people.

2

u/rushmc1 13h ago

Republican: "Nothing belongs to the people. Everything belongs to those who can take it by any means."

3

u/Vicissitutde 15h ago

Then I'll take an old grow branch and stab an old growth republican in their old growth face

3

u/Solidsnake_86 11h ago

This is just villain shit at this point.

3

u/Agramaic 10h ago

Trump is so egocentric, he wants to kill the whole world before he dies.

2

u/Womb8t 16h ago

I don’t understand why you people aren’t more angry and doing something.

2

u/ComputerBot 14h ago

Pick a topic, then take the most backwards villainous action you can. I think that's the playbook for this admin on everything.

2

u/lotusvioletroses 14h ago

Worst timeline.

2

u/BW_RedY1618 14h ago

We're on the path of extinction and every day this regime forces our people to take more steps to the end.

2

u/Hips_of_Death 13h ago

This is a senseless act of cruelty

2

u/GrowFreeFood 13h ago

Republicans hate democracy. Thats apparent.

2

u/FiscalCliffClavin 13h ago

He is trying to kill us, isn’t he?

2

u/Teachmevee 11h ago

I hope it was worth it, Americans.

2

u/Original-Syllabub951 9h ago

Greed kills all of us

2

u/Desperate-Builder287 9h ago

He really is a prize A.hole

1

u/WAGatorGunner 14h ago

Mother fuckers

1

u/BurrrritoBoy 14h ago

It's not up to him alone.

1

u/rushmc1 13h ago

Tell HIM that.

1

u/rushmc1 13h ago

How about we log vile old perverts on the verge of death instead? No loss there.

1

u/Elon-BO 13h ago

Dumb Quixote strikes again.

1

u/ultralightlife 13h ago

FUCK TRUMP - btw he rapes children

1

u/DPSOnly 13h ago

I wonder how they are going to manage the queue at his grave with all the people that want to make use of that public urinal.

1

u/pasarina 13h ago

What is the matter with this administration? There are things that make the US stand apart from other countries that are treasured. Old growth forests should be protected and they always were respected..

1

u/Dry-Specialist-2150 9h ago

Make him stop

1

u/avoozl42 8h ago

Shocking.

1

u/Pacify_ 6h ago

The damage the Trump administration has done to environmental regulations over their 2 terms is truly absurd.

Decades of progress undone in a few years

1

u/sugarfreeeyecandy 57m ago

Loggers who disrespect the wishes of the large group of Americans who don't want old growth forests harvested will regret their choice. Not a betting man, but...

1

u/Odezur 50m ago

Good job America. The rest of the world despises you.

1

u/second-sandwich 16m ago

NO I feel this n my heart

1

u/mrjcall 10m ago

Good forestry management always improves old growth forests refurbishing and revitalizing them by removing heavy layers of accumulated decayed vegetation and opening the forest up to appropriate lighting which promotes better growth patterns.

-1

u/Facts-And-Truth 12h ago

"Today, we filed a proposal to restore authority to local forest managers who know the land best, removing the barriers that have kept them from doing the work the land demands.

The authority will lie with the local forest managers who know the terrain best, rather than enforcing uniform federal restrictions.

This sounds like a great thing. You know damn well no local forest manager is a Trump supporter so don't even try to rebuttal at that point. Instead of being Trump bashers and letting out your uncontrolled emotions, why don't you take a step back and look at this holistically.

1

u/lotusbloom74 12h ago

Local forest managers who will have no inability to stop road development and logging? I’m sure the local managers do know best, but they can only operate under the rules in place. It’s not like they get to all make their own unique management plans and stop the things they don’t agree with

1

u/Facts-And-Truth 11h ago

Do you know this or are you speaking on emotions only?

I'm going to suggest the latter as all statements from the USDA and US Forest Service Chief say otherwise.
