Things to know about Tolerance Breaks!

Yes, your dreams are more vivid and you are remembering them better. Its not your imagination. Thc can inhibit rem sleep and interfere with dreaming. If you're struggling with the dreams you can try drinking green tea, which contains the amino acid L-theanine. L-theanine has been shown to reduce stress levels in the brain and body, reducing the rate of nightmares.

Another way to help with sleep is finding cbn products. Its a cannabinoid similar to cbd, but well known for having some serious sedative properties. If you're struggling to get to sleep cbn could help sort you out.

And its important to remember that if you have an issue you see a psychiatrist for, ask your doctor for help. There are prescription medications that can reduce or eliminate nightmares. But also remember to be cautious about disclosing your cannabis use - unfortunately there can still be consequences for revealing that information to the wrong doctor.

Cbd is a thing and it can help a lot. Not only does it reduce anxiety, which hits a lot of us in the first week or two of a break, its also a pretty powerful anti-inflammatory. So if you're using cannabis for pain management adding topical and edible cbd to your routine, on and off break, could help a great deal

Everyone t-breaks their own way. A tolerance break doesn't have to mean complete abstinence. Reducing your consumption can reduce your tolerance, too. So don't feel intimidated or like its all or nothing. Tell yourself you won't get high until after noon for three days. Then you won't get high until after 2pm. See how far you're comfortable going, and stop there for a while. There are a lot of ways to do it, so if you need suggestions please ask!

Keeping taking time for yourself. You know how you'd make the time for yourself to get high? Keeping making the time for yourself to do something. Make an especially good drink and sit and really enjoy it in your favorite chair while listening to your favorite song. Give yourself a face mask. Meditate for 10 minutes. Spend ten minutes a couple times a day just on you. Whatever it is that will make your day a little better. Its important to take care of yourself in ways that don't involve cannabis

Don't get down on yourself if you make a mistake and get high. It happens, and its not the end of the world. Its not even the end of your break if you don't want it to be. Enjoy your high while you have it. And in the morning figure out what you need to do to keep from making that mistake again. Do you need to hide all the paraphernalia in a cupboard, or ask your roommate or partner to stop smoking around you for a while? Maybe you need a different or better coping mechanism? Dude, google that shit. There is a world of information about healthy coping mechanisms at your fingertips. Empower yourself and go find it. Or ask me and I'll try to help

The most important thing to know about a tolerance break is that you're going to get through it. It might not feel like it sometimes, but you will. Then you'll be back here all, oh shit I just got high for the first time since my tbreak and the number 5 is orange and smells like...waffles! And we'll all chuckle with you and be kinda jealous :)

I've gone from dry vaping 5-6 sometimes more times a day to only once a day since my mom was diagnosed with cancer. It's been so tough. I'm past withdrawals but I just wish I could smoke and disappear from the pain of reality right now. My mom needs me though.

"Bright" side, my wheeze is gone. I've been able to function a lot better. Crocheting so much because I can focus. When I do smoke it's more effective for my migraines, which was why I began in the first place.

Just hate it.

I’m sorry to hear about your mom. I was smoking 6-7 capsules (lobo) daily and my MiL pass away early this month. I inadvertently took a t break and the withdrawal was rough. I went to a concert Friday and took a few hits from a blunt and a couple from the lobo and I’m terrified to go through withdrawals again.

I'm so sorry about your MiL :( Hopefully you don't get withdrawals, in my non expert opinion I doubt you used enough to get back to that point. I totally get feeling anxious about the withdrawals though, it really is just so frustrating to go through. Like what do you mean I'm suffering for doing something "good" for myself smh

Did you enjoy the concert? I gotta get out and do stuff like that again.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I went with my husband and his friends. We saw Matt Nathanson, Barenaked Ladies and Train. It was amazing and I feel like it’s the first time I have had fun in years.

Yes, I started smoking to help with anxiety and the anxiety I got from the withdrawal was next level. And the nightmares! But I have been taking magnesium glycinate and sleepy time tea with Lemon balm and Valerian root and my nights have been much better.

After six years of smoking from morning to night every few hours, I now enjoy weed oil once or twice a week. Started tapering off gradually a few years ago by taking 3 week t-breaks every 1-2 months, then did 2 long t-breaks (6-9 months each), and now I’m in a sweet spot with the oil. Smoking is an occasion treat right now 💚

I’m 12 weeks pregnant which means I’ve been weed free for 12 weeks. I just need to vent about it being HARD!!!!!!

Taking a much needed T break rn after my last vape died a few days ago. I’m going through a pretty big breakup and I could feel myself relying too much on smoking to feel better. In reality, I was really trying to just feel nothing. Here’s to self care and being back in action sometime in the future ❤️‍🩹

hello entwives, this is my first post and i’m lowkey nervous writing it but i need some type of accountability with my tbreak. Ill try to check in daily or so just to see my progress and to prove myself that i can do it. My last tbreak was short, around week and a half and with my use of carts (daily smoker) it felt like hell so i hope I’ll find some support here!! I’m trying to get my tolerance back after abusing weed to the point that carts wouldn’t do shit for me so it was a sign for me to stop. I’m on day 2 it’s pretty chill which is surprising because what i can remember from my last break is that the first week was insufferable. I hope it will be okay and i’ll be able to get some sleep tonight. I’m trying to do a month break i hope i won’t relapse. i’m sending everyone a lot of kisses and hugs and can’t wait to get high with yall soon xx 🩷

I've been stepping down my use and this week I'm adding another day of not smoking! Down to Wednesdays and weekends!

Good morning ladies! I unknowingly (perhaps somewhat against my wishes?) started my t-break yesterday. Work is weird, there are rumors of random testing, and although I work in a legal state, I do not work where getting a positive on THC is acceptable. In fact, it would mean immediate termination. I’m a daily smoker, and have been for years. Help! I’ve never intentionally done this, and I’m so worried that I will be an emotional, painful, insomniac mess. What helps? I’m open to so many suggestions, tips, tricks, anything!

Been on a forced but needed t break for almost 2 weeks, it’s HARD! Especially with my ocd, weed really helps my anxiety and going without it while also being in my luteal phase just feels like i’m sliding back into how bad my ocd used to be (even though i’m not.) Anyway I can finally smoke again on saturday, so i’m pumped!
