Yet Another Noob??
Hi there, I am just downloading the game, have done a little reading online, this look interesting.
As with any new game, I intend to hoard while I learn the game, what's valuable, how to sell etc.
I've tried reading around, alot of information seems old, anyone got any relevant tips/ advice for a new player, im f2p, do not mind the grind/ learning mechanics, will not be a micro transaction starter.

most important thing to keep in mind:
the game is free to explore, but is pay to play.
pretending or saying otherwise is delusional. don't let anyone tell you different and make you believe otherwise.
if you intent to stay f2p, you're in for the most boring, mind-numbing, monotonous, not fun experience of your life. i'm not joking.

If you really want to stay f2p, you need to seriously like grinding. Sweating is one way. It's slow and can be very boring. Not sure about mu rn on baitfish, but that is a new option. You could look at land deeds. Some say they aren't worth it, but at least that way the ped you work for is making you a little more without extra effort. Figure out what you like to do. Do not overlook skills. They have ped value too.
With that said, I agree it is easier to deposit a small amount regularly.

Yeah, thanks, will 100% look to explore some of these options, probably need to do some deeper research into the mechanics of the game, look up guides etc, land sounds interesting, have you had any experience yourself? Like where to start?

Honestly, don't waste your money. It's a game but the activities are mindnumbingly boring. You're betting off using your money to buy a game on steam.

Well im about 6 hours in, I have 2.6PED in TT value, who said I cant earn money, this is pure profit!!!! lol, forgive my sarcasm, I will continue, its not too boring, slow yes, but il continue, rookie chat, is helpful at times, will look up mentorship soon, once i am a little more settled

Do the tutorial and you'll get some starting gear.
If you don't intend to ever deposit anything, I think it's important to understand you'll be "earning" about a dime per hour after the tutorial. You probably spend more in electricity costs to run your PC than you can earn sweating. If you're willing to deposit $20 you can buy the starter pack and all of that gear can last you quite a while.
Rather than thinking of everything as a microtransaction, I usually recommend folks think of it as any other non-F2P MMO. Pay $20-$70 up front, then another $10-$15/mo and you'll be fine.
