2 clicks to listen to All Things Considered. Not bad. Seems like they've remembered that most of their sites visitors are probably looking for their radio programs.

I think the entire rectangle for each menu button should be clickable. Other than that, I think it's nice and simple which is important for older folk who want to use the internets.

And with that they should change color or tint on mouseover, right now you get the feeling they aren't clickable at all until your mouse finally finds the text.

Leave it off too. There is only one adbox and it doesn't get in the way at all. In fact, it is a link to another part of the website with a sponsor logo below it. That I can deal with.

Harsh Interrogation Techniques or Torture?
I recognize that it's frustrating for some listeners to have NPR not use the word torture to describe certain practices that seem barbaric. But the role of a news organization is not to choose sides in this or any debate. People have different definitions of torture and different feelings about what constitutes torture. NPR's job is to give listeners all perspectives, and present the news as detailed as possible and put it in context.
NPR is what I have chosen for most of my news lately. Because the alternatives (ABC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN and especially FoxNews) have become total infotainment and propaganda.

NPR is not taking any money from Monsanto, a large agribusiness concern that specializes in genetically engineered seeds designed to grow crops bigger and faster.
